The large open plan living area, with French doors out to the patio, has a well equipped white gloss and oak kitchen, a dining area with large oak dining table, and a comfortable lounge area with stylish leather corner sofa. Upstairs three double bedrooms, one of which is en-suite, provide a comfortable retreat for guests to enjoy.
A few seconds from this wonderful holiday house are the banks of the River Spey, one of Scotland’s top salmon and sea trout rivers, where guests can enjoy a river side stroll and maybe catch a glimpse of a roe deer, pheasant and perhaps even an otter. Up to a thousand fancy-dressed individuals from as far as Aberdeen would descend upon Ballindalloch on the specially laid on trains.
Also on the doorstep is Cragganmore distillery where guests can enjoy a tour and sample some of the finest malt whisky, or perhaps a vist to Ballindalloch Castle, a magnificent 16th century castle, home to the Macpherson-Grant family since 1546. Situated on the edge of the Cairngorm National Park this holiday cottage provides lots of opportunities for lovers of the outdoors to enjoy the sport, the scenery and the wildlife, whilst others may prefer to sample some of the fantastic local produce on offer in the many excellent restaurants in the area – whatever your tastes and interests there is something here for everyone.
