Robertson Cottage (8 Courtyard Cottages) is a wonderful holiday retreat within The Highland Club, occupying a lovely riverside location and providing modern comfort and convenience within the historic setting of the abbey and grounds. This spacious and comfortable two bedroom cottage also has the additional advantages of a terrace and charming wood burning stove. Benefiting from all the communal facilities The Highland Club has to offer, while at the same time having its own private outdoor space, it makes an ideal choice for a family or group - a perfect holiday property from which to explore the area.
This two floor, semi-detached cottage is comfortable and spacious, with lots of light and lovely views - a real ‘home away from home’. The open plan living-dining space, with views to the River Tarff and delightful wood burning stove, leads via large double glass doors onto the terrace, which is a wonderful space for relaxing and entertaining. Indoor entertainment options include a large flat screen TV with Sky, DVD player, Wii, broadband internet and a good selection of books and games, whereas for those wishing to explore the river, fishing rods and binoculars are also provided. The fully equipped kitchen area is fitted to the highest standard, with granite work surfaces and top of the range appliances. There is also a large bathroom on the ground floor.
Upstairs is the master bedroom with pretty views towards the river and containing a double bed and flat screen TV. This leads onto an en-suite bathroom with bath and shower. There is a spacious second double bedroom, with picturesque views towards the river estuary and Loch Ness, and flat screen TV. With the use of the sofa bed located in the second bedroom, this property can accommodate up to six people.
Development at the complex is still continuing. It should be noted that the rental price of this property reflects the fact that work at The Highland Club is not yet complete and that there may at times be some degree of activity and noise whilst building work and landscaping continues. Activities:
In addition to the many activities that can be enjoyed on site at The Highland Club, the local area offers excellent hill walking, cycling, fishing, riding, field sports, boating and many adventure sports, including white-water rafting and quad-biking for the more adventurous! There are also many castles, gardens, woollen mills and whisky distilleries within easy reach. The west coast, with its stunning romantic beaches, can be reached in a day trip.
