The Highland Club at Fort Augustus is a unique development of the Grade A listed former Benedictine Monastery and School that is centuries old. The Loch Retreat is a delightfully bright ground floor apartment set in the Raven Wing and has pretty views across the lawns that were once a cricket oval for the old Abbey. With access to the shores of Loch Ness and surrounded by impressive scenery, the Highland Club is an exceptional development set in this stunningly beautiful part of Scotland.

The ground floor apartment itself is very well presented, with good quality modern furnishings, attractive slate and wood floors and high quality kitchen with granite work surfaces. The very comfortable bedroom is a haven with its high quality linens, fluffy bathrobes and toiletries all left for you. The public area is open plan letting you enjoy socialising whilst preparing meals at the end of the day exploring. The addition of modern technology with the large plasma TV with Sky Freestat provides entertainment though you can bring your own Sky card if you wish access to pay channels. There is an iPod docking station, a DVD player, books and board games to entertain you on quiet evenings or cool days.

The Highland Club is an exceptional building with tennis court, restaurant, 20 acres of grounds and lochside access all available to you now. It should be noted that the Club is still being developed so there is building continuing on the other side of the Abbey to The Loch Retreat and that the Residents Club and Spa are not yet complete. With Inverness with its theatre, shops and restaurants a mere 45 minutes drive, you can enjoy the best of both worlds. The local area has much to do with fishing, walking, biking, riding and watersports all available in the vicinity, as well of course, the famous but shy local resident that you may be lucky enough to see if you take one of the glorious boat trips on Loch Ness.
