Pathhead Farmhouse is a secluded stone built cottage forming part of the breathtaking and historic 450 acre Hoscote Estate. This beautifully presented house has been fully refurbished to the highest standards offering an extremely comfortable holiday house with spectacular views overlooking and surrounded by the gently rolling countryside of the Scottish Borders. Set high up on the hill, Pathhead stands guard over the stunning and peaceful valley where the Borthwick Water meanders slowly down to the Tweed.
Guests can enjoy all that the Estate offers including mountain biking on the Estate trails or in Craik Forest just two miles away (mountain bikes available to hire onsite), various marked walks through the Estate woodland spotting the large red squirrel population, picnic site and protected wildlife area, fishing in the stocked fishing pond and a beautiful walled garden for quiet contemplation. There is also access to a small gym, sauna and fitness area (with one hour complimetary and additional hours by arrangement) located in the Dairy and an outdoor hot tub for a truly relaxing experience.
In a wonderful area for a holiday, where the accent is on relaxation, but with much to see and do, Pathhead Farmhouse is a great base for walking, cycling and touring historic Border towns.
Also available on the Estate Hoscote House and two further cottages: Sycamore Lodge and Gardeners Cottage.
