Situated in the quiet Highland village of Furnace on the shores of Loch Fyne, this former village post office has been refurbished to provide very comfortable family accommodation. The Old Post Office is a charming traditional stone built cottage dating from the late 18th Century and is ideally located for exploring one of Scotland’s most beautiful areas.
This holiday cottage has been sympathetically renovated whilst keeping its original charm making it perfect for family or friends, with open plan living and a bright, fresh well equipped kitchen. The conservatory has large, sumptuous seating and is the ideal spot to catch the evening sun and wind down after a day touring Argyll. With doors opening onto the patio and lawn, this makes a wonderful place to relax.
Loch Fyne, the longest sea loch in Scotland at 41 miles, is home to dolphins and seals as well as the occasional summer sighting of basking sharks. Close by and at the North end of the loch is the historic town of Inveraray dating back to the 15th Century and to the South the thriving town of Lochgilphead. There are many local attractions, whether it is visiting Inveraray Castle, Home to the Duke of Argyll, catching a ferry from Oban to one of the Islands, or going back in Scottish History to the standing stones and circles of Kilmartin Glen.
