If a break from a hectic lifestyle is what you need then Dalnessie Estate is the perfect retreat. Four miles up a track it offers total seclusion and the ideal experience in the wild Scottish countryside. The house sits at the top end of the River Brorar which has excellent fishing; if this isn’t enough there are many hill lochs full of brown trout. Shooting is also available through separate arrangement with the estate. Enjoy long walks in which you are likely to see all kinds of nature, including birds, red squirrels and deer.
This modern sporting lodge offers fresh and simple modern accommodation with large windows that maximise the spectacular views from the lodge. All of the rooms are fitted with electric heaters and the public rooms have open fires. The bedrooms are spacious and flexible in the numbers they can sleep, the twin rooms can be converted into two singles along with a pull out bed in one of the single rooms.
The gamekeeper and his wife live in a cottage nearby and can help with sport by arrangement. The gamekeeper’s wife is happy to provide delicious evening meals, if required, with extra costs being arranged with her. If children are in the party care must be taken as there is a mechanical weir across the river just visible from the house. Whilst fenced off small children should not be allowed near on their own.
