Activities: Enjoy: Boat trips on Loch Ness; Dolphin watching on the Moray Firth; historic Culloden Battlefield and visitors centre Speyside Whisky Trail; a day trip to Fort William stopping at the lovely villages of Drumnadrochit and Fort Augustus en route. Fort William: take a trip on the gondola to the top of Ben Nevis and enjoy a walk along the top of the highest mountain in UK. Train enthusiasts; you can enjoy a trip on the West highland Line steam train from Fort William to Mallaig or closer to ‘home’ there is the Strathspey Line steam train from Aviemore to Boat of Garten. Wildlife lovers ensure that you visit the RSPB centre at Boat of Garten where with luck, you will see the Osprey. For those of you where the emphasis is on entertaining children; swimming pool, ice rink, bowling alley, amusements, playparks can all be found in Inverness; and for the’ big’ children, Clay pigeon shooting; quad biking and archery can be found on the outskirts of the city. Inverness city has a wonderful selection of shops, bars/nightclubs, restaurants and hotels.
