RachanHus is a wonderful holiday house with a spectacular sitting room on the first floor which has a log burner and a wonderful double height ceiling. It is a perfect space to while away the evening and mull over the day’s events. There are doors from the sitting room onto a balcony with views over the garden and farmland beyond. The bedrooms are downstairs and the master benefits from French doors to the deck overlooking the garden.

There is a wealth of opportunities for walking and fishing and for the mountain biking thrill seekers RachanHus is approximately 12 miles from Glentress and Innerleithen part of the 7stanes trail. At the end of a hard day in the saddle why not come back to your holiday home and relax and recuperate in the fully equipped sauna before enjoying a cosy night in front of the wood burning stove.

If you can tear yourself away there is a lot to see and do in the area, Dawyck Botanic Gardens is only 3 miles away and Stobo Castle, Scotland’s only destination spa is only 4 miles away.  Peebles, the historic Royal Burgh and market town is a short drive from the house or perhaps some sightseeing with Edinburgh only 30 miles away. This is a great holiday house – stylish, extremely comfortable, well located and with plenty of space so a perfect spot for a family holiday to remember. The pretty market town of Biggar is a 10 minute car journey away where supermarkets, restaurants, pharmacy etc can be found and essentials can be purchased in the local village store of Broughton.

There is access via a hatch with a pull down ladder to a galleried sleeping area with a double bed. PLEASE NOTE THAT ACCESS IS LIMITED AND IS NOT SUITABLE FOR YOUNG CHILDREN OR THE INFIRM.

Egyptian cotton bed linen and luxurious towels provided. Electricity, oil and all logs for wood burner included. Welcome hamper including flowers and L'Occitane bath products provided. 

Flat screen TV with sky channels, DVD, internet access, the majority of rooms are wired for radio/CD from a central system.  Washing machine, dryer, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, electric oven and induction hob.  Ample parking, garden furniture. For those travelling with small children the owners can supply travel cot and highchair.
