If you can tear yourself away from Highfields there is plenty to see and do in the area.  Catering for all sporting tastes the Borders is home to the internationally famous Melrose Rugby Sevens tournament, hill walking, cycling, spectacular golf courses and some of the finest fishing in the world on the River Tweed.  However, if you prefer a less active holiday the Hawick Cashmere flagship store is a must for a little retail therapy or perhaps touring around the many historic houses, abbeys and gardens all within easy reach.
