Whiting Bay has grown little by little over the centuries from clusters of cottages on the shore and on the braes, to crofts and farms, houses and hotels and now has a pier, golf course and putting and bowling green.  The shoreline has a mixture of beautiful sandy beaches and interesting rock formations, with plenty of opportunity to explore.

Originally built in the late 17th century, Braehead cottage has been extensively upgraded but retains its old worldly charm. With its large private elevated garden, it is safe for children to play I, while the adults can enjoy beautiful uninterrupted sea views  in front and hill sides to the rear. However, as one cannot guarantee good weather, a conservatory has been added. With Whiting Bay within a mile away from Brahead, the shops are within walking distance, and pubs and restaurants provide evening meals for those nights when cooking seems impossible.

Braehead Cottage is a delightful self catering holiday cottage, with plenty of character, comfortable and beautifully situated; an ideal base for exploring the immediate area and all that Arran has to offer.

Linen and towels NOT provided. Electricity by meter reading. Coal included.
