Standing alone in a spectacular elevated position, Craigneuk commands stunning, uninterrupted sea views across the Firth of Lorne to the mountains of Mull. This traditional and sympathetically extended Highland farmhouse offers an exceedingly high standard of self-catering accommodation and is the perfect base for a happy, relaxing holiday amidst beautiful Argyll scenery.
This spacious family home, prominently positioned above the road, offers great character and appeal. The large, elegant sitting room with its cosy wood burning stove and comfortable seating provides plenty of space for relaxing in, whilst the bay window gives panoramic views across the sea. The cheerful, bright dining room at the heart of the house is a wonderful gathering place for memorable holiday dinners after exhilarating days spent in this beautiful area, and the second smaller family sitting room presents the perfect retreat for guests wanting extra peace and quiet in front of a roaring open fire.
The south-facing front terrace and garden overlook a lovely stretch of shingle beach from where many stunning shoreline walks can be enjoyed, including the wonderful sandy beach at Tralee Bay. To the side are the historic, moss clad stones of an ancient Highland burial ground and a charming ruined stone bothy which was once the local Blacksmith’s workshop. As the sun sinks slowly towards the sea, take advantage of the special viewpoint above the house and marvel at the ever-changing scene - the varying light and sunsets are truly breathtaking and the quiet movement of the birds rippling across the water creates a spectacular vista.
