The Mains of Orton is the lovely former family home of the proprietor and was built as a farmhouse in 1854 on the estate. It is well off the beaten track providing safety for children at play. It is tastefully furnished and decorated retaining much of the original character. Each room has its own individual character and appeal providing a high degree of comfortable self catering accommodation for a party of up to eight. The lovely old dining room with its family furniture and lovely bay window looking across the estate is charming.
The house is near the main estate office but retains its rural Scottish charm and sense of seclusion. The house benefits from having a very high proportion of en suite bathrooms and the public rooms are spacious, traditional and very comfortable.
