Arriving at Ardlussa on the glorious Isle of Jura is like stepping back in time to a magical era. This well loved traditional stalking lodge has been in the same family for several generations and offers a wonderful opportunity to enjoy this sensational island.
The house is set on the beautiful 20,000 acre Ardlussa Estate and is surrounded by ancient woodland, with breath-taking views over lush green pasture down to the shore and across the sea to the Sound of Jura. Inside, the house is full of traditional charm and with its lovely welcoming, homely atmosphere you will quickly wind down to the local island pace and become totally relaxed and carefree.
After a day spent on the beach or an exhilarating walk across the surrounding hills you will be welcomed home by roaring log fires and perhaps a glass of the local malt whisky. The elegant dining room with its panelled ceiling, open fire and beautiful furnishings creates the perfect setting for long and memorable dinners and the view from the comfortable drawing room and main bedrooms defies belief.
Around the immediate dramatic rocky coastline there are many fine white sandy beaches to explore and with the wonderful woodland and hill walks, boasting endless wildlife, flora and fauna, Ardlussa is a perfect setting for a happy, unforgettable holiday with family or friends.
