To reach Benmore lodge you will drive through some of the most exciting, dramatic and geologically important scenery that Scotland has to offer. Around every corner, yet another breathtaking view can be seen.
Situated within the Benmore Assynt Estate and 3 miles down a private road, this perfect secluded rural location has panoramic views, a private loch and spacious, comfortable accommodation. The magical atmosphere of the ancient landscape along with the comfort and peace is certain to help you relax and unwind.
This purpose built sporting lodge sits at the head of Loch Ailsh on the upper reaches of the River Oykel. With beautiful views overlooking the loch and mountains beyond, Benmore is the perfect base for walking, sailing, fishing, bird watching, plant or wildlife spotting, or just relaxing in good company.
With attractive bright rooms, the house provides an ideal family venue and caters for all ages. The welcoming and comfortable drawing room has an open fire with spectacular views down Loch Ailsh – a perfect place to enjoy a glass of malt whisky in front of a roaring fire while watching the sun sink dramatically into the loch.
Pick up your fishing rod, walk across the lawn down to the little gate that takes you on to a lovely private sandy beach where you will find the lodge boat, take the afternoon off and catch supper. Or, put on your walking boots and climb the twin peaks of Conival and Ben More (3238ft). Then again, you may just want to pack a picnic and spend the time relaxing on the beach soaking up the glorious surroundings.
With only two small steps into house and accommodation all on one level, this is an ideal place for the less abled.
