Set in mature and private gardens, with spectacular views over Loch Tay to Ben Lawyers, Ardtalnaig Lodge is indeed a spectacular setting for a holiday cottage. Enjoy the views over Perthshire from the property’s fabulous conservatory or from the sitting room with its large window, the scenery providing the most fantastic backdrop to a family holiday or short break. Situated in an elevated position along a single track road on the south side of Loch Tay, this country cottage is a great base for wonderful walking and cycling, and also has the use of a tennis court by arrangement.
Accommodation: Ground Floor: Generous, open plan sitting/dining room with open fire, large windows and patio doors taking full advantage of the views, kitchen, conservatory, utility room with wc, 2 double bedrooms with large zip linked beds, twin bedroom, family room with 2 sets of bunk beds, single bedroom, 3 refurbished bathrooms with shower attachments to bath, wc & whb, seperate shower (no wc).
Activities:
- there are many places of interest to visit, including Ben Lawers, Perthshire's highest mountain which is renowned for its collection of Alpine plants and the famous, much photographed Falls of Dochart at Killin, which also has a selection of shops and restaurants
- Aberfeldy (15 miles) has a further selection of shops, including beauty parlour, an interesting working Meal Mill, golf course, swimming pool and tennis courts
- fishing can be arranged locally and there are several golf courses within easy reach, with a challenging 9 hole course at Killin and an 18 hole course at Taymouth Castle in Kenmore
- Kenmore also has a water sports centre offering sailing, canoeing etc
- free fishing in central section of loch. Use of a fishing boat with outboard (summer only).
