Surrounded by a Site of Special Scientific Interest of 6,500 acres of hill ground The Log House is truly a special holiday cottage. With fabulous walks from the door and a huge variety of bird and wildlife including Hen Harriers, Golden Plover, and Short-Eared Owls to be spotted, the nature lover will adore this property. Shooting and fishing may also be arranged. With the Championship golf courses of Turnberry, Troon and Prestwick within easy reach there is plenty to do for the outdoor person.
Despite its rural location there are several small villages, including Muirkirk, nearby for provisions and dining, and the cottage is also within easy reach of the fabulous sandy beaches of Ayrshire. Also in the area are many historical places of interest including the National Trust Property Culzean Castle and Rabbie Burn’s birthplace.
Accommodation: Ground Floor: Drawing room, dining room, kitchen, sitting room/tv room, bedroom wing with 2 double bedrooms, one with en-suite bathroom, 2 twin bedrooms, bathroom, separate wc, separate wing with 2 double bedrooms, 3 twin bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, separate wc, drying/utility room. Two of the twin rooms have bunk beds.
