The outside of this house does not do justice to the wonderful interiors and surroundings. Holeburn House is a big, spacious and bright house, with a wonderful open plan flow to it and marvellous views of what is a delightful large garden. Decks and balconies surround this house and the garden is a pleasure - lawns and flower beds and a burn at the foot. Behind is farmland and the Ochil hills.

This is a family home of great style - wood floors, granite worktops, wonderful new bathrooms - it has a very stylish and fresh feel.  A well travelled owner has furnished the house with unusual and stylish items. The 5 bedrooms are all spacious and luxurious, with a high proportion of excellent bathrooms.

The public space is what makes this special - two sitting rooms, two dining areas and a very stylish kitchen are on the ground floor. In the lower ground is a fantastic bar - the real thing complete with fridges, counter and of course a dart board as well as lovely seating and TV. Outside there is plenty of seating space on the deck and balcony - ideal for a morning coffee or an evening drink or BBQ.

Holeburn House is a great setting off point to explore the history of Stirling and its castle, the Trossachs national park, Edinburgh, St. Andrews, The Kingdom of Fife, or north to Perthshire and its mountains. For golfers, Gleneagles lies a short distance down the Glen and the local Muckart course is less than a mile away. Make sure you got to Dollar and climb the beautiful Dollar Glen to see Castle Campbell - a fascinating spot with glorious views.

    Holeburn House reviews
My experience can be described in two words, absolutely amazing. I was welcomed very well and was told about all the things I'd have to know. Throughout, I did not face any issues and truly felt like I was home. The location was convienent as it was not very far away from Glascow. As for what I expected, it was definitely more than I did. Thank you.

Nearby Dollar was a very pleasant village which provided good eat out amenities. Surrounding area offered good places to visit eg Stirling Castle and Wallace Monument. Good central location which provided a wide range of places to visit within easy reach. House site was first class but would suggest that a more detailed set of instructions would be helpful in the understanding of all the technical functions within the house eg the interaction between the availability of music, TV both inside and outside the house. Additional shower units would also be beneficial. Disappointed that Darts Board had been removed. However overall everything was first class.

This property is one of the best we have stayed at for the NY break having done this with friends for last 16 years.

If it is necessary to cancel your holiday, for any of the reasons A 1-5 below, you may do so at any time up until the close of business on the last working day before your tenancy commences and we will refund your balance. If the new booking is at a higher rate the tenant must pay the extra cost. No refund will be made if the new date is at a lower rate.
