Perched on the banks of the River Laxford, this sweet red house is surrounded by idyllic views and offers simple, elegant accommodation for ten guests.
Enjoy a stay in the remote Scottish Highlands, where limited mobile reception and limited Wi-Fi connection ensure a true escape to nature. Admire the calming waterside views of Loch Laxford, which is accessible just 1 mile from the property, and the bustling River Laxford that flows along the bottom of the garden. The property comfortably hosts ten guests and two dogs, making it the perfect spot for a family reunion or a walking holiday for a large group of friends.
This spacious home offers an abundance of bright and airy rooms, with large windows allowing light to flood the property. Clean cream walls and neutral carpets create a minimalist space to relax and traditional antique furnishings enhance the countryside feel of the property.
Both conventional and contemporary elements are combined in the kitchen, where you’ll find a modern double oven, hob and dishwasher. Sit at the breakfast bar for a morning coffee or spot of brunch, or knock up dinner for ten and enjoy a celebratory meal in the spacious dining room. Adults and children are welcome to relax independently, as two sitting rooms both offer cosy sofas and woodburners. Convene in one sitting room as a family and enjoy a DVD or make use of the Sky TV, or take evening drinks into the sun lounge and admire the far-reaching loch views. Find two of six bedrooms on this ground floor: a double bedroom and a spacious twin.
A further four bedrooms can be found upstairs on the first floor, and all benefit from extremely comfy beds and soft, fresh linen. One master double bedroom offers a sofa for relaxation whilst your better half is getting ready for the day, and there is also a twin bedroom and two single bedrooms for the rest of the party. These first-floor bedrooms benefit from remarkable views of the surrounding Scottish landscape; a daily treat to wake up to.
To the rear of the property, you’ll find a charming garden, enclosed by fences and completely private, perfect for entertaining on balmy summer evenings. The garden boasts stunning views of Loch Laxford in the distance, and the River Laxford flows right along the bottom of the garden, making a wonderful spot for older children to play. The property boasts a handy garage which is available by prior arrangement and is ideal to securely store bikes and fishing equipment.
