Situated in a tranquil spot midway between the historic city of Inverness and the majestic Loch Ness, this fabulous lodge offers exceptional holiday accommodation perfect for a large family gathering, corporate event or a group get-together. The idyllic glass-fronted retreat enjoys a peaceful country setting offering picturesque views over the River Ness and makes a perfect base for fishing, golf and walking. With a range of features this sumptuously furnished and beautifully decorated property makes a wonderful retreat for up to 14 guests. Although enjoying a picturesque rural setting, the bustling city of Inverness is less than 4 miles away.

 

This welcoming and relaxing property features a number of spacious and comfortable rooms designed to offer peace and comfort. With exposed stonework, beautiful wooden furniture and fittings, a magnificent fireplace and a grand picture window offering breathtaking views of the river, this light, stylish and elegant property is a pleasure to unwind in.

 

On entering this fantastic holiday home, you will find the bright, airy and inviting lounge. This attractive space is perfect for relaxing in and chatting about the day. The lounge has a number of delightful features including an impressive fireplace, plenty of seating and a double-height cathedral ceiling letting the light flood in. The ground floor is mostly open-plan, with a spacious dining area - the ideal spot to get together, whether you’re enjoying a family banquet or a leisurely breakfast. The beautiful farmhouse-style kitchen has been thoughtfully designed and features a walk-in larder - it's a real pleasure to prepare meals in. You can also relax in the cosy library, which features a TV as well as a good selection of books. The ground floor also offers a charming en-suite twin bedroom as well as an ornate hallway which features plenty of extra space to sit and unwind.

 

Heading up the splendid staircase which dominates the large hallway, the first floor offers six attractive bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities.

 

Stepping outside, you can sit back on the furniture on the charming decked area to the front of the property. Here you can enjoy a morning coffee or afternoon BBQ while admiring the beautiful views. There’s plenty of space for children to play in the extensive private grounds.  Fishing can be arranged on request.

A wonderful base for walkers and nature lovers, this property lies on the edge of the sparkling River Ness which leads to the famous Loch Ness (5 miles) via pretty Loch Dochfour. Golfers will be spoilt for choice with a number of nearby courses to choose from including Torvean (3.5 miles), Fairways (3.5 miles) and Nairn (20 miles). The vibrant city of Inverness is just a little way to the north (3.5 miles) and offers a wonderful range of fantastic restaurants, pubs, art galleries and independent shops, with numerous attractions including Inverness Castle, St Andrew's Cathedral, the Eden Court Theatre and Cinema and the Hall of Names. From Inverness you can also take boat trips out into Moray Firth in search of dolphins. There are also opportunities for activities including sailing, canoeing and kayaking. Other local attractions include Castle Stuart (10 miles), Urquhart Castle (17.5 miles), Cawdor Castle and Gardens (16.5 miles), the mysterious thousand-year-old Bronze Age Clava Cairns (9.5 miles) and Culloden Battlefield – the site of the famous 1745 battle (8.5 miles). There are also plenty of opportunities for cyclists and for anglers, including the Dunlichity Trout Fishery (8.5 miles), as well as plenty of whisky distilleries to visit throughout the area for those who prefer their entertainment indoors.

The Lodge was perfect, we all enjoyed every moment. Peaceful, relaxing and I would go out back any time.
