Unwind in a traditional hunting lodge after exploring the wonderful local landscape of the Scottish Highlands. With hiking, mountain biking, fishing and more easily accessible activities nearby.

With the sounds of Scottish wildlife in the background and majestic red stags wandering across the estate, this wonderful hunting lodge is the perfect escape to nature. Explore the rugged Highlands, enjoying sports and activities on the nearby Loch Stack and even summiting the Ben Stack mountain. This majestic home comfortably sleeps 13 guests and benefits from the luxury addition of a housekeeper.

This classic property boasts traditional countryside decor throughout, with additional decorative hunting elements such as mounted deer antlers adding to the lodge-style charm. Wooden wall panelling and stone-flagged floors leave the property with an authentic farmhouse feel, whilst contemporary additions such as DVD player, iPod dock and Wi-Fi connection ensures that guests of all ages are kept fully entertained.

Cooking for 13 won’t be a struggle in the generous farmhouse kitchen, and the spacious four-oven AGA will be a treat for your family’s devoted chef. If you’re drawn to the area by the allure of hunting or fishing, then be sure to make use of the chest freezer and spacious fridge in the pantry. More relaxed meals can be enjoyed at the kitchen’s breakfast table, or you can make use of formal dining room for celebratory meals. The ground floor of this magnificent home offers three lounge areas, including a drawing room, study with TV and charming sitting room. The drawing room is perfect for entertaining evening drinks, and you can enjoy the far-reaching loch views with the open fire crackling in the heart of the room. Younger guests might prefer to break off and watch TV in the study, whilst the final sitting room is an ideal spot for getting lost in a good book.

Further stunning views of the loch and surrounding hills can be enjoyed from the first-floor bedrooms, where large windows boast scenes that’ll be a treat to wake up to each day. All bedrooms offer vintage furniture, be it heavy wooden wardrobes or wrought iron bed frames, and the windows are lined with heavy, heat-excluding patterned curtains. Three of these bedrooms can be made up as twin or double rooms, thanks to versatile zip-and-link beds. Almost all of the bedrooms are en-suite, boasting an extra touch of privacy.

The property sits on a generous estate, accessible over the winding River Laxford and surrounded by an abundance of outdoor space. The secluded location ensures a private garden, and far-reaching space ensures plenty of room for kids to run around.
