A splendid country cottage, one of a small number on this secluded country estate, an idyll for wildlife lovers, artists, hill walkers and photographers

This pretty little cottage lies at the top of one of the longest glens in Scotland and is surrounded by the beautiful, tranquil landscape of the Perthshire countryside. The contemporary family bathroom is on the ground floor with a shower over the bath and WC. Upstairs we have the two double bedrooms and the single bedroom.

Outside, the scenery is breathtaking with far-reaching, uninterrupted views from all around the property. The enclosed garden overlooks the river and Munros beyond, making it the perfect setting to socialise with family and friends with a bottle of wine whilst watching the sun go down.

Sitting north of the edge of Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park (22 miles), this area is a must-visit for families. The National Park offers a vast array of water sport activities, adventure sports, cycling and walking trails, wildlife educational activities, lochs to swim in and mountains to climb. The National Park is classed as one of the most beautiful in all of Scotland and once you have experienced it, it is easy to understand why.

Fortingall (20 miles) is a pretty little village just north of the River Lyon and full of character and life. There is a hotel there that remains the heart of the village and serves great food and drink for when you decide to treat yourself after a full day of activities. Fortingall Yew is a tree in the corner of the Church and a huge attraction to the village. Rightly so as it is said to be 5,000 years old and possibly the oldest thing alive on earth today!

Beautiful cottage, stunning scenery, we really didnt want to leave. We met the owners who were lovely and very helpful. It is really well equipped with tasteful furnishings and the trip into Pubil from the main roads is at least a careful 60min drive but again the scenery is amazing. We saw 2 golden eagles and an Osprey which was unforgettable.

Beautiful cottage in a beautiful location, the cottage was well equipped and lovely and cosy after a long walk. The wild birds in the well stocked bird feeders was lovely to watch from the kitchen window as were the deer when you could see them through the trees.

A lovely cottage that is very remote and peaceful. Perfect if you want to disconnect and be away from people and immerse yourself in nature. It was very clean and well equipped and also warm and cozy with a lovely aga. Great for dogs and the garden is a decent size although a large dog could jump over the wall so not secure. Highly recommend and woRead moreuld stay again if we came back to the same area. Hide
