Do you like a trendy interior?

“A room should never allow the eye to settle in one place. It should smile at you and create fantasy” ~ Juan Montoya

We are continuously amazed by our owners’ ability to create wonderful, creative and beautifully decorated spaces for you to holiday in. Their attention to detail when selecting the perfect interior furnishings and finishes is to be congratulated, and it’s that wonderful sense of ‘home’ they achieve that makes them extra special! Now, we know you all love a nosey from time to time, so here are 6 holiday homes for you to snoop through…which one is your favourite?

Coire Domhain – “A really comfortable, fabulously decorated, warm, welcoming place to stay.” ~ Miss Doyle

Coire Domhain, located on Glenfeshie Estate, is the epitome of style. The interior, very much reflecting a traditional hunting lodge, was designed by Ralph Lauren, which, in itself is impressive. The rooms scream quality with beautiful plush furniture, deep pile carpets and Harris Tweed cushions, curtains and bed throws. The moss green walls, mixed with original stone fittings and the occasional burst of colour creates a trendy youthful environment which is always enjoyed. We love this house!

The Cowshed – “A property very well looked after, tastefully decorated, very practical and cosy.” – Mrs Lopez

If you like a clean, simple and modern environment then this is the house for you. Everything from the colour of the walls to the fabric on the bedroom head boards has been considered. Neutral tones throughout create a crisp, clean space and the bright splashes of colour mixed with quirky decoration (can you spot the kitchen cow?) adds that homely element of fun to the property. Although each room is different, harmonious design brings it all together as certain colours run into other rooms– just beautiful.

Cook’s House – “Lovely cottage – Whacky décor but quirky rather than annoying!” ~ Ms Holmes

How many places have you stayed where your kitchen has the characteristics of a chameleon? On first glance, you probably have not noticed that the kitchen units are camouflaged in with the wall paper! Featured in many interior design magazines, this is a very quirky, unique and atmospheric holiday home. Funky wall papers throughout give this home a really retro ‘feel’ as it is confidently mixed with antique furnishings and weird ornaments – like the stuffed frog in the hanging frame! We have never seen anything like this house – definitely one to visit.

Easterknowe House – “Wait until our customers are exposed to this beauty” ~ C&C Rep

In terms of decoration, quite often the bathroom is the simplest room in the house, but not for Easterknowe. Just look at those walls – birch trees hand painted to perfection. The house is stunningly furnished with beautiful antiques, one of a kind pieces of furniture and amazing textiles. Every last detail has been considered and sophistication pours into each room, making you feel like you have just walked into a Hollywood movie!

Airlie Castle – “We loved everything about our stay; beautiful and comfortable.” ~ Ms Grant

From the outside, appears to be a traditional, stone-built castle surrounded by majestic gardens and grounds, and one may expect the inside to match. Although retaining a lot of the original features like the vaulted ceilings and the fireplaces, the interior has been modified to create a trendy atmosphere. Interesting mixes of modern furnishings, traditional and contemporary fabrics and funky flooring gives the castle a really fun feel. It’s wonderful!

Stuckdarach – “Outstanding property, we can’t wait to let this one.” ~ C&C Rep

It is hard to believe this extremely stylish house is based in the wild world of the Trossachs National Park when the inside looks like something out of a swanky London hotel. Every room is a true delight bursting with colour and luxurious touches – fur rugs, silk cushions, wool throws, large TV’s and bespoke furniture. The beds are outstanding, promising you real relaxation. It is beautifully thought out and tasteful in every meaning of the word.

If you are a holiday home owner yourself take some tips from these beautiful houses. Different holiday makers have different needs, but those who like to stay somewhere with a touch of luxury and style will want to stay in places like these.

Let us know which one is your favourite – we can’t pick!
