Our plans change with the seasons and as the months of 2018 go on we find ourselves planning for the second half. The October Holidays come next!
Yes, we are already one week into August and over at C&C we can’t quite believe that the end of the year is only 4 months away, not that we are counting! It has been an amazing year for us so far. We have grown in so many ways as a company and not only taken on more amazing holiday homes but we have also gained more amazing customers. We love to share all our news with you and aid you in finding your perfect self-catering accommodation which will act as the perfect base to get out and explore from.
So, with the October holidays coming up, we thought we would share some fabulous houses that are still available to book. This is a busy time of year for us and we are about to hit the surge of ‘last minute’ bookings so we don’t want you to miss out. We have included reviews from previous customers as it is always good to hear other people’s thoughts.
All of the houses we have listed here are all available from Saturday 13th – Saturday 20th October 2018.
TIGH NA LINN. Bridge of Gaur, Perth and Kinross.
“We loved the solitude and isolation (and the lack of wifi and T.V. was a bonus with our kids!) and the cottage provided a comfortable base to return to after an active day of exercise! The children enjoyed spotting wildlife on the doorstep!” Mrs Eves-Dickins
This is a gorgeous traditional stone cottage set in the quiet hamlet of Bridge of Gaur on Loch Rannoch, Perthshire. It has been beautifully refurbished to create a welcoming and comfortable space in which you can truly relax. This house has chosen not to have wifi and this will be really refreshing for some parents keen to separate their children from social media for a week! Enjoy this remote location and all the wonderful wildlife that comes with it. The house sleeps 5. Read more
MINGULAY. Badachro, Highlands.
“The house was warm and welcoming, bedrooms spacious and comfortable and the three bathrooms especially welcome. The kitchen/dining room was a natural congregation spot. Plenty of storage space & room to hang coats leave boots etc. Extremely well insulated against the elements, with maximum advantage taken of the views on to mountains and sea.” – Ms Munro
This self-catering holiday home is modern, well equipped with everything you are going to need and beautifully decorated making it homely and comfortable. The house had been designed to make the most of the spectacular views and the magnificent sun room leads on to a smart south facing patio from which you can soak up the sun all day long, enjoy a BBQ or even a good board game! BRAES OF FOSS. Kinloch Rannoch, Perthshire.
“The house itself is deceptively large and was more than big enough for the 8 of us. Two wood-burning stoves kept us cosy while it snowed outside and we sat and watched the beautiful view for hours. Although it feels wonderfully remote, it was just a quick drive either way to Aberfeldy or Kinloch Rannoch for shopping, art galleries and afternoon tea.” – Mrs Clarke
Braes of Foss is a newly renovated farmhouse dating from the 1800’s and is all that now remains of an early 18th century township. It provides a fresh, bright and extremely comfortable home in which to return to after days out exploring. Wood burning stoves and central heating make it welcoming even in the most brutal weather and the stylish presentation brings a real taste of luxury – just ideal! The house sleeps 8. Read more
FIRTHVIEW COTTAGE. Auldearn, Highlands.
This is one of our newer cottages so it doesn’t have any reviews yet, but we are sure after a few people have stayed here there will be only good things to say. Set on a working farm in Moray, Firthview Cottage (attached to neighbouring holiday property Larch Cottage) is a lovely countryside retreat offering peace and tranquility. Close by to the town of Nairn, you are ideally located for exploring both Moray and the Highlands which are just a short drive away. The holiday home is bright, fresh and comfortable throughout making it a cosy place to relax and recharge. It’s been fully equipped with the holiday maker in mind and looks out on to the back of the garden with rolling fields and views of the Moray Firth and beyond! The house sleeps 4. Read more
BARTAGGART FARMHOUSE. Castle Douglas, Scottish Borders.
“Beautiful big house in a quiet, peaceful location. We loved our stay!” Mrs Ellis
Bartaggart Farmhouse provides a great holiday destination for a large family or for two families with four bedrooms, a great kitchen, a large sitting room with a welcoming wood burner and a glorious setting. Although in a small ‘hamlet’ of farm cottages, fields and horse barns you are not disturbed and the views across the private enclosed garden to the fields and horses grazing are both beautiful and peaceful. This rural idyll feels as if it is a great distance from the hubbub of modern life but in reality you can quickly reach the coast and charming towns like Castle Douglas and Kirkcudbright – definately worth a thought! Again this stunning little cottage is new, so there are no reviews present, however by just looking at it you will be able to tell the standard is no less than high. It is a charming gate lodge turned stylish self-catering holiday accommodation and promises a comfortable stay. Set up nicely for a small family/ two couples the characterful and quirky features like the sweet little windows and turrets make it feel extra special.
