The 12 Days of Christmas – Part 1
On the first day of Christmas my true love sent to me,
a holiday for the whole family!
What about finding an idyllic cottage in the wilderness where you can take your family for an adventurous holiday, somewhere where you can completely switch off and re-connect with one another? This cottage on Harris would be the perfect solution and being close to the water means you can get up to all sorts of adventures! Taigh Ailean | Isle of Harris | Sleeps 6 | From £650/week | Pet friendly
On the second day of Christmas my true love sent to me,
2 rooms with a view, and a holiday for the whole family!
A room with a breathtaking view can put light into any soul. With scenery so spectacular why wouldn’t you want a holiday home that offers that in Scotland? For the most dramatic views we recommend the Highlands and the West Coast where you will be surrounded by beautiful mountains and rugged coastlines. Perhaps it’s time to start planning for 2019…
On the third day of Christmas my true love sent to me,
3 open fires, 2 rooms with a view, and a holiday for the whole family!
An open fire is the best thing to return to after an exuberant day adventuring, and one in the bedroom is a real treat! We have lots of little cosy cottages perfect for romantic getaways deep in the Scottish wilderness, many with open fires and log burners alike. The crackling of flames and the scent of burning wood is so therapeutic. Check out our cottages for two here.
On the fourth day of Christmas my true love sent to me,
4 waterside retreats; 3 open fires; 2 rooms with a view and a holiday for the whole family!
There is something very special about water, it’s something about the sound and movement that mesmerises and calms the soul. Seek out a magical waterside retreat to unwind and escape the rush of everyday life. Try a new water sport, take a boat trip or simply spend the time chilling and reading books by waters edge – if you feel really brave you could take a dip too! Have a look through our options today. On the fifth day of Christmas my true love sent to me,
5 day short breaks; 4 waterside retreats; 3 open fires; 2 rooms with a view and a holiday for the whole family!
If on a tight holiday allowance sometimes a short break is just the ticket. Finding that perfect balance of travelling and holidaying is important though! Short breaks offer a gentle pocket of time in which you can get a break from your reality and we love that so many of our holiday homes offer them. We recommend Perthshire – many of the small towns are on the train line running North to South and there is a beautiful mix of towns, lochs, rivers and mountains for you to explore. On the sixth day of Christmas my true love sent to me,
6 pet friendly houses; 5 day short breaks; 4 waterside retreats; 3 open fires; 2 rooms with a view and a holiday for the whole family!
Until you get a dog you don’t quite understand the emotional attachment which grows over time between owner and pooch. But being dog owners ourselves we completely understand it, which makes us even more proud to have such a great selection of pet friendly holiday homes! We love that no one needs to be left behind, so have a browse through them this Christmas and see what tickles your fancy. Pet friendly holiday homes
