Grab family, friends and your four-legged companion and escape to this fabulous corner of Scotland for a taste of log cabin living. Sitting on the bank of the River Slatach, while away hours absorbing the great outdoors on the wraparound balcony. Watching the water flow by and the fresh countryside air will leave you refreshed and rejuvenated. If days are drizzly, simply head inside and curl up in the cosy living space with a good read or a board game and wait for the weather to pass before you pack up a picnic and head out to adventure.

Brimming with character and quirk, you will quickly settle into cabin life and feel at home in this wonderful waterside bolthole. Surrounded by wildlife, this tranquil setting will promise relaxation. On your return from exploring this great location, cosy up and unwind for an hour in the inviting open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with its comfortable sofas before rustling up a storm in the kitchen and dining together at the table. Admire your surrounding scenery from the table and raise a glass to holidaying with loved ones before heading to bed in one of the three snug bedrooms; choose from a double, twin or single to rest tired heads. Wake feeling ready for the day ahead!

Whether you need to steal a moment of peace and quiet or you fancy a communal al fresco tipple, the large stretch of balcony which wraps around the cabin and comes with patio furniture is perfect for both quiet and lively times. Perfectly located for an active stay, from this location you can conquer majestic Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the British Isles. Standing a mighty 1,345 metres above sea level there are two tracks you can choose from, one for less experienced hikers and one which is slightly tougher and recommended only for experience hikers. At just 23 miles from your door, pack up the essentials and head for a hike to remember. Reach the summit and admire superb views as you tower above lochs, valleys, and spectacular scenery.

The film buffs amongst you should make the journey to the magnificent Glenfinnan Viaduct which is under a mile away and was made famous as the railway line which spirited Harry Potter and his magical friends to Hogwarts. Picture the Hogwarts Express whizzing along the tracks and take in the astonishing views for yourself.

For a morning of wildlife spotting you do not even need to leave your home. Golden eagles, black throated divers and red deer also call this spot home and you can put your feet up on the balcony and watch carefully for them to grace you with their presence.

If dipping your two in the ocean and building sandcastles is more up your street, beautiful Camusdarach Beach at Arisaig is 24 miles away but well worth a visit with a yummy picnic packed up.

The Cabin is perfectly situated, in a beautiful location with the bonus of being next to a river & waterfall, which changes both visually & acoustically depending on rainfall, all in all just stunning when we were there (Christmas week 2023) We were also lucky on morning to see a young stag meandering through the garden, having a munch here & thereRead more on the grass. This is a lovely log cabin in a beautiful secluded location. It is surrounded by woodland and a stream. We saw deer in the woodland. It is a very short walk to the Glenfinnan Viaduct and a 30 minute drive into Fort William. We found it to be an excellent base for touring the area. The owner is lovely.

The neighbours are quiet and Mrs Robertson, the owner is just over the track should you need any help. Plus, great food is available at the Glenfinnan House Hotel. We couldn't have asked for more.
