Stay in the grounds of an impressive manor house, set on an impressive 50-acre estate made up of gardens and woodland. This recently converted coach house is wonderfully positioned above the estate stables, and younger guests will adore the chance to meet local horses and other wildlife that might cross your path throughout your stay. Accessible via a private flight of stairs, this charming two-bedroom flat comfortably sleeps four guests and two dogs – the perfect wee family home.

 

This first-floor apartment is spacious throughout, so you and your guests won’t feel crowded throughout your stay. Traditional country elements are maintained throughout, yet the home has been entirely modernised for 21st-century living. Enjoy antique-style furniture and feature fireplaces which add to the character, alongside a modern kitchen and utilities which makes holidaying with children a breeze.

 

Head upstairs and wander on through to the charming lounge and dining room. Here you’ll find a feature fireplace with working wood burner for cosy evenings in. Settle into an armchair and enjoy a DVD or TV program after a sumptuous dinner. You can dine at the sociable circular table here in the lounge, enjoying views out onto the estate. When it’s time for bed you’ll be happy to find two generous bedrooms with soft and comfy beds. One boasts a vast king-size bed, whilst the other room is a twin with private en-suite. Those residing in the master bedroom can make use of the shared family bathroom, where a lovely bath sits in front of a window, the chance to soak your aching muscles and watch the day go by.

 

Downstairs you’ll find a small boiler room, a great place to leave muddy outerwear and dry off wet dogs before heading upstairs. Outside you’re more than welcome to explore the seemingly endless estate.

Visitors travel far and wide to enjoy the wonderful golfing opportunities in and around St Andrews. There are a remarkable 50 golf courses within a 25-mile radius of this home, including a championship course in Ladybank (3 miles). Just 15 miles away, in St Andrews, you'll find a renowned waterside golf club and the fascinating British Golf Museum.

During a visit to the historic seaside city of St Andrews, admire the towering cathedral (15.5 miles), the pretty Botanic Gardens (14.5 miles) or simply lose yourself in the abundant shops and eateries on offer. You might also embark on a trip to the nearby city of Dundee (14 miles), a fantastic cultural hub with V&A gallery and arts centre. If visiting Scotland's marvellous cities is your preferred past time, then park up at Cupar (5.5 miles) and take a 1-hour train ride to Edinburgh.

Once you've seen the sights, then be sure to enjoy walking, biking and hiking in the stunning countryside. Within 10 miles you can find yourself in the Lomond Hills, offering plenty of challenging walks and breathtaking viewpoints. Or travel a little bit further to Loch Leven (15.5 miles) and enjoy the easy-going Loch Leven Heritage Trail, a 13-mile walk or cycle on an undisturbed track.

We had a wonderful week in the Coach House. Felt very welcome and the surroundings are so peaceful. The property was thoughtfully kitted out, spotless and very spacious. A delightfully unique property unlike anything we've ever occupied! The coach house oozes quality & it's setting in the grounds is fabulous. The endless supply of logs was a refreshing change from any other we've ever used & so appreciated when it's cool outside. Lovely location on an estate with great walks and easy accessibility to the key locations in Fife. Fabulous if you are travelling with another family as there are 2 rentals on the estate. We saw red squirrels, deer and rabbits. Would definitely recommend.

We absolutely loved the Coach House and will definitely be back. Our only disappointment was that the largest room was the bedroom with two twin beds . The double bed in there would have been prefect. The location is beautiful and the grounds are well worth exploring . This property is very impressive. It is large, has 2 bathrooms, one being en-suite, as well as a third downstairs toilet at the entrance door. There is nothing this property wants for and the grounds are beautiful, large and open for your use. The owners living on site means they are around to assist if required and they are happy to do so. It was our second visit to Cunnoquhie Coach House and we thoroughly enjoyed our 2 weeks stay, we also had two weeks of glorious weather. The location excellent for visiting areas around Fife. Just a lovely, lovely place to stay - and in such a beautiful, graceful setting. It was warm, cosy, comfortable and easy in all ways. We'd absolutely return and highly recommend the coach house as an escape in one of the loveliest but also well connected parts of Scotland.

This was our second visit to Cunnoquhie Coach House. The accommodation is very comfortable and it is in a lovely location for seeing more of Fife. We spent our days walking (Fife Coastal Path/hill of Tarvit), exploring Falkland Estate and Palace and revisiting St Andrews plus a little cycling to and around Cupar and also around Loch Leven.
