Located in the heart of Perthshire on the edge of the Cairngorms National Park, this Victorian shooting lodge is the perfect base for larger groups looking to explore the stunning Scottish countryside. With all the grace and charm of a bygone era, this four-bedroom home can comfortably accommodate ten people and two dogs. With endless activities and adventures to be had on the doorstep, this is the ideal choice for friends and family looking to spend some quality time together and take a break from the hustle and bustle of modern life.

With beautiful furnishings and tasteful decor throughout, the cottage has a welcoming home-from-home feel, whether you’re curling up with a book or enjoying some family time together. Well-proportioned rooms and wood finishes bring character, while still retaining a comfortable and relaxing feel.

The spacious sitting room enjoys lovely views over Shee Water, while stripped pine floors and snuggly sofas make it a welcome spot to wind down after a busy day of exploring. Enjoy a wee dram together around the open fire as you share stories and watch the sun set over the hills. Younger members of the family will enjoy the separate TV room, which also has a sofa bed. Guests can choose between the more formal dining room for meals or take a relaxed approach by gathering around the table in the kitchen area, or even outside. You’ll find everything you need in the well-equipped kitchen, whether you’re rustling up breakfast or preparing a hearty dinner at the end of the day. A handy boot room on this level is also a welcome addition for storing those muddy boots and outdoor gear.

When it’s time to rest weary heads, you’ll find the stylish bedrooms a welcoming space for a restful night’s sleep. There are four to be found on the first floor, along with the main bathroom, all featuring traditional touches which add to their character. Guests in the en-suite master bedroom will enjoy waking up to beautiful views across the river to the mountains beyond.

Heading outside, the lodge is located within 1.5 acres of its own private grounds on the banks of the River Shee, offering plenty of space to play or simply sit and relax. Fire up the BBQ on those warmer evenings, before settling back with a glass of wine to soak up the tranquil atmosphere and take in the stunning views of the Grampian Mountains. A beautiful spot to stay and a characterful house with lots of charm. The house is spacious and cosy for large families or groups. The rooms are large and attractively decorated and the beds are comfortable. The house was very warm and there was plenty of hot water. The kitchen is fairly well equipped but was missing a corkscrew - a shame as there Read moreare lots of nice wine glasses! The house is right on the A93 so it can be busy and noisy in the summer if you want to sit in the garden. Also, the house sits just before a bend in the road so special care needs to be taken when pulling out or pulling into the drive as approaching drivers have poor visibility. The house externally is a little run down but its setting and the pretty burn at the rear makes up for this. We had a great stay. Hide

An absolute gem of a property - spacious yet cosy, comfortable yet luxurious and with all sorts of hidden quirks and delights. Lots of interesting features, antiques and conversation starters. Our dogs loved the garden and surrounding area. We'll definitely come back.

The lodge was in a beautiful setting and was in pretty easy access of everywhere you could want. On the whole we had a great time and it fit our needs however after clearly experiencing a busy summer there were a few bits that felt could be improved in terms of the equipment and upkeep.

We were lucky with the weather, but if Corrydon Lodge is available, book it. We had the most amazing week. The photos do not do the location justice and I would thoroughly recommend booking to anyone. We need to find ourselves another slot!

We had a lovely weekend with family and friends at Corrydon over Easter. The house is in a great location for easy access to munroes and gentler walks and despite being on the roadside there was very little traffic noise. The house is well equipped and there was plenty of space for 7 adults. Definitely recommend for a get away from it all break.

Clearly a loved holiday home and an old house...well appointed kitchen, plentiful logs, and a great sitting room to lounge in with the fire burning. As an old house this has character but also quirks and needs to be treated with respect. We loved our winter stay and spent much time climbing the numerous local Munros.
