Guests have access to many walks from the door and as well as three excellent restaurants and a pub within a couple of miles.

Applecross is a peninsula with a fascinating Gaelic history and a brilliantly preserved heritage in the form of many archaeological and historical sites of interest. There is an abundance of trails and routes to choose from, including a short woodland trail between Sea Bridge and Home Bridge following the southern bank of the stunning River Crossan. Alternatively, the smooth-surfaced Beechwood Trail path passes the Holy Well and provides the best foot access to the bay and glen area from the south, and offers outstanding views westwards beyond an old stone fish trap to Raasay.

For an exciting adventure, pay a visit to the Mountain and Sea Guides based in Applecross, less than a mile from the property. They offer activities for everyone all year round, from sea kayaking, climbing, mountain walking, gorge walking in the summer to mountaineering and safety training in the winter.

Great property and location, with wide range of walks from doorstep - from very short and easy to more demanding 10-milers. We loved the walled garden - for wandering around, sitting reading a book and an excellent meal on our final night. Our group had both adjoining properties which gave a real feeling of spaciousness.

Excellent well equipped cottage on the Applecross estate. Ideal for exploring the many walks beside the river and throughout the estate. Beaches are within easy reach. Loved seeing highland coos and deer just outside the windows.
