The large and spacious house, framed by evergreens, is set in 1.5 acres near Craigellachie village (1 mile) with rolling countryside views to inspire guests to enjoy the great outdoors. Sleeping nine guests comfortably across five bedrooms, it’s the ideal rural retreat where everything you need is to hand, yet it’s also within easy access of local amenities and regional attractions.

Step inside this welcoming retreat with classic country-style interiors and spacious living throughout. Families will appreciate everything being on one level from the large entrance hall to the living room, TV room, open-plan kitchen and dining room, plus the utility room for boot storage and laundry, and three cosy bedrooms.

Rustle up tasty dinners for fellow guests in the well-equipped kitchen with inspiring countryside views as far as the eye can see. Enjoy dinner together in the sunny and spacious dining area. Later, retreat to the living room for post-dinner drinks where you can curl up on squishy sofas by the open fire (first basket of logs provided) and catch up on favourite TV programmes. As night falls, slumber comes easy in the bright and airy bedrooms, beautifully decorated with Scottish tartans. The rooms are charmingly named after local rivers. There are three super king-size bedrooms with adaptable beds (zip-and-link), plus one king-size room (zip-and-link bed), and a single bedroom with room for an additional guest on a pull-out trundle bed. After a day out in the countryside, you’ll also appreciate the two stylish bathrooms (one with a bath, separate shower, and WC; the second with a shower room).

Enjoy the spacious split-level enclosed gardens, perfect for parties with wee bairns or lively hounds in tow. There’s ample space to enjoy the dryer regional climate in this region where you can also dine alfresco in the seated BBQ area. Should a dreich day descend, guests can enjoy table tennis championships and dartboard playoffs in the large garage where you’ll also find outdoor games equipment and storage room for bikes, skis, and fishing gear. Ample parking is available for guests, and there’s a shop, pub, restaurant and amenities in Craigellachie village (1 mile); a supermarket, pub, and cafes in Aberlour (3 miles), and further shops in Rothes (4 miles).

Enjoy uninterrupted views across the valley from your handsome holiday home towards the new (2018) Macallan Visitors Centre and Distillery (3.5 miles). Go fishing along salmon beats of The River Spey nearby, including Craigellachie (1.5 miles), Easter Elchies (3.5 miles), and Arndilly (3.5 miles). Follow the Malt Whisky Trail where you can all enjoy a guided tour and taste a wee dram. There are more than 60 distilleries in the region to choose from including Aberlour Distillery (3.5 miles), Glenfiddich Distillery (5 miles), and Cardow Distillery (9 miles). Discover a slice of history at Ballindalloch Castle, Brodie Castle or Gordon Castle or enjoy a spot of shopping at Walkers Shortbread (3 miles), The Baxter's Visitor Centre (13 miles), or Johnstons of Elgin (14 miles). Elgin has a variety of shops on its bustling high street and in its retail parks, plus a train and bus station, and a convenient 24-hour supermarket. Cyclists are spoilt for choice with country trails throughout the Moray region, while long-distance walkers can enjoy ambling a section of The Speyside Way which skirts near the property. This trail begins at Buckie (20 miles) and stretches 65 miles all the way to the Aviemore (38 miles) in The Cairngorms National Park.

A fantastic property in an amazing location with all the amenities you could ask for. We got lucky with the weather and spent loads of time pottering around the garden with our dog who loved watching the world go by from various spots in the garden. We hope to go back again soon.

Excellent home. We were a party of ten, 7 adults and 3 children 12,9 and 4 but there was enough space for everyone to relax and enjoy this beautiful house. Everything we needed was there and much more too. Will definitely be returning to this property.

Wonderful stay at this property, clean & comfortable, spacious rooms & quality furniture,. We brought various things we thought we might need, but you don't need to bring anything, the house is so well equipped, we were very impressed ! The garden is lovely & the kids enjoyed exploring it. We stayed here as two families on a New Years Getaway. We all agreed that we have not stayed in accommodation so well equipped before, there is everything you would need in all rooms. The kitchen, bathrooms bedrooms had plenty storage and cooking utensils. The beds are very large and comfortable. What a beautiful house and the setting and views are terrific. The gardens are stunning and we are looking forward to coming back next year in the late spring. The house is so well appointed and is lacking nothing. The beds are very comfortable and i had the best weeks sleep I've had for ages.
