Its traditional stone walls, paved outside seating area and entrance porch creates a lovely first impression, picture postcard some might say. The cottage welcomes you through the entrance hallway into a property that is clearly loved and that has been respectfully restored. It feels warm and friendly and has an exposed stone fireplace in the lounge with a feature gas stove, tempting you to stay inside and snuggle up on those darker, wintery nights. Finished with elegant rustic furnishings, this cottage presents a relaxed style that is both traditional and modern-day.

If you are coming in from a day of exploring then the entrance hall is ideal for removing those muddy boots! The country-style kitchen/dining area is well-equipped and could be considered the social hub of the cottage with its intimate, relaxed dining area. Also on the ground floor is the elegant family bathroom with a bath and a WC. Upstairs is the twin bedroom and the double bedroom with en-suite shower and WC.

The paved garden to the cottage is situated at the front of the property, providing a lovely sunny and spacious area for guests to enjoy. Perfect for children to play games in or to just simply sit and relax with the sun on your face whilst eating breakfast.

The historic cathedral town of Dunkeld and Birnam sits on the north bank of the River Tay and is a joy to visit during your stay in Perthshire. It has an array of shops, restaurants, galleries and cafes all offering traditional and contemporary Highland treats. It has some great places to eat and drink with a friendly and lively arts and music scene. The grand cathedral made of grey sandstone sits tall and majestic, watching over this picturesque little town.

Perthshire is famous for some of the most spectacular scenery in the Highlands. Located on the very tip of the Tay Forest Park means that there are some outstanding trails for walking and cycling, right on your doorstep. If you are looking for more adventure sports, Loch Tay and Loch Earn provide the perfect environment for all types of water sports. The River Tay is the ideal spot to try your hand at fishing, kayaking or white water rafting.

Pitlochry (13 miles) is said to be one of Scotland's most vibrant and pretty places to visit, steeped in clan history. There is something for everyone to enjoy here, from adrenaline pursuits like bungey jumping, quad biking and river rapids to the more leisurely activities such as a game of golf, hill walking or touring the distilleries. With such a vast variety on offer here in this beautiful town, it really deserves a visit.

Lovely welcoming cottage situated in a beautiful location. Very handy for Dunkeld which is approximately a ten minute walk from the cottage and the train station is just a 5 minute walk away. The cottage is plenty big enough for 4 adults and a dog, although the en suite off the double bedroom is quite small. Also the seating in the dining area is aRead more bit difficult to access because of the overly large table. Easy parking and quiet neighbours. Good local shop nearby. Hide

We had clear instructions on finding the cottage. Ideal location for exploring both locally and surrounding areas. The Hermitage walk is amazing and you must do this as well as continuing on to the Rumbling Bridge. We also visited the Birks of Aberfeldy which are absolutely stunning. We would also highly recommend the Scottish Deli tapas night in DRead moreunkeld as well as Zs Bistro/ Atholl Arms, which, like most of the area are extremely dog friendly. Hide
