With easy access to two world class links golf courses and glorious coastal walks this is the perfect Scottish retreat for families, beach lovers, walkers and golfers. Comfortably sleeping ten guests with five bedrooms plus a sofa bed in the playroom, this villa offers a delightful stay for an extended family or friends but can equally be enjoyed by smaller parties. Two well behaved dogs are also welcome.

The spacious high ceilinged ground floor has a large kitchen dining room, with central island dividing the two areas, creating extra workspace and breakfast bar. The double range oven and well equipped kitchen, together with the large dining table, is perfect for friends and family dining. The elegant drawing room with comfortable sofas, open log fire,TV with BT TV and a wide selection of books is designed for relaxation and for watching the dramatic sunsets over the Atlantic and the Islands of Islay, Jura and Gigha.The games room provides the ideal place for children and younger guests with a second TV, dartboard, table football and pool table. This room can double up as a bedroom using the sofa bed and has an en suite shower room. A twin bedroom with glorious sea views is located off the hallway, while a large, heated vestibule is perfect for hanging coats, boots and can also be used as a dog sleeping area.

The four further bedrooms, two doubles and two twins, are on the first floor, all with beautiful views. Wake up in the master bedroom to spectacular views of the sea, the golf course and the Islands, a marvellous way to start the day.The bedrooms are spacious, attractively decorated with charming furniture and furnishings.The bright and airy family bathroom has a bath, large walk-in shower and bidet.

The garden is a particular feature of this property with an extensive lawn, great for ball games, well stocked flower borders and a delightful summerhouse for lazy afternoons. The pergola and terrace with large wooden table, seating 12, is perfect for outside entertaining and barbecues. The enchanting ’secret’ wild flower garden, to the rear of the property, has a terrace with seating and beautiful views over the hills and countryside.

  • There is an Accidental Damage Deposit of £500 when booking at this property, however this may be waived for £50. We’ll provide more details about this when booking your holiday.

Once you're done relaxing in your garden then wander the 300 metres over to the expanse of sandy beach. This beach is well known for some of the best surfing in the UK, and its relatively secluded location ensures it's never too crowded. Dogs are welcome on the sands, making it the perfect location for all the family! Golfers will be keen to head to the popular Machrihanish Golf Club, which offers 18 holes with a stunning sea view in the backdrop. The village of Machrihanish has a great pub and an impressive hotel and restaurant, both within five minutes walk of the property.

Walk in Paul McCartney's footsteps and head to The Mull of Kintyre (18.5 miles), where you can head to the lighthouse and peer across to Ireland. Or, stick closer to home and visit the Machrihanish wildlife observatory, where you can keep an eye out for golden eagles, minke whales, bottlenose dolphins and regularly sighted Scottish otters.

The harbour town of Campbeltown is just 5 miles away and has all essential services including two supermarkets, swimming pool and leisure centre and a wide variety of shops and restaurants. Catch a film in the beautifully restored cinema, famed as the oldest cinema in Scotland, or take a tour around one of the local distilleries or a walk across the causeway to Davaar Island. Ferries to the Islands of Arran, Ghia,Islay and Jura are easily accessible for those wishing to explore these beautiful Islands during their stay.Fishing licences for several local lochs are available in Campbeltown. Golfers are spoiled for choice with two world class links golf courses in Machrihanish plus several other courses within easy driving distance of the property. Walkers and cyclists can enjoy numerous coastal and countryside walks and trails including the famous Kintyre Way.

The house & garden are both beautiful and really well equipped and the location was just perfect, we all had a wonderful time!
