A cosy little stone cottage on a secluded hillside in one of Scotland’s most treasured historic landscapes in the Argyll countryside. The cottage is surrounded by wildflower meadows and woodland and is perfectly placed for exploring the Crinan Canal and the sandy beaches, rugged glens and wild islands of Argyll. Despite all that, it’s not isolated, with shops and pubs within 3 miles and the Cairnbaan Hotel, where you can get a meal or drink, around a 1-mile walk along a footpath through the trees. Sleeping two with an extra fold-down bed, it’s ideal for romantic couples and small families who want to enjoy an active break with plenty of walking, nature-spotting and beach days.
The cottage is located half a mile down a private track, adjacent to the owner’s holiday cottage. Inside, it is light, bright and spacious with contemporary décor and high-quality furnishings. The windows make the most of the outstanding views. The cottage is all on one floor. In the entrance hall, there is space to hang wet coats and store muddy boots. This leads to a large open-plan split-level living area. The lounge/dining area has a stylish wood burner and a TV with sofas and armchairs for relaxing warm evenings. There is a dining table with space for several guests to dine in comfort. Three steps lead up to the kitchen area, with a slate floor and everything you’ll need for easy holiday cooking, with plenty of food prep space and a double oven and electric hob. There is a large twin bedroom and a fold-down bed. The large wet room has a waterfall shower.
Outside, there is a patio garden with furniture, the ideal place to relax and enjoy the views.
