Superbly located on the edge of Loch Tay, this traditional log cabin set in a tranquil spot offers a true escape from the madness of daily life. Surrounded by spectacular scenery and plenty of wildlife, it has its own access to the shore and is perfect for a family or a couple seeking a relaxing retreat. This single-storey log cabin is a delight, with its timber walls and ceilings creating a cosy feel, enhanced by the presence of a welcoming wood burner. The floor-to-ceiling windows in the lounge allow the natural light to flood in and offer lovely views of the garden and loch beyond.
As you open the door to the property, you are greeted by the charming lounge. With a large comfy sofa and a couple of armchairs arranged enticingly around the wood burner, you may immediately feel the need to sink back and just take in the peace and quiet. With its cheerful hints of blue, and glorious views through the huge window, this is a lovely room in which to unwind and relax. From here, you can wander into the pretty dining room with its huge picture window that overlooks the lush gardens outside, and a scattering of interesting prints on the wall. It makes a great spot for birdwatching. A hatch opens into the adjacent, well-equipped kitchen, so you can easily pass through plates of food and whoever is cooking need not miss out on the conversation. In the evenings, relax in the lounge before heading to one of the two cosy bedrooms – one double and one twin – where a blissful night’s sleep awaits. There is one family bathroom with a shower over the bath, hand basin and WC, and also a separate WC in the cloakroom. Should you get especially muddy after a wet walk and need to do some washing, the utility room conveniently has a washing machine.
Outside, there is a large stretch of lawn around the property along with a table and chairs – the perfect spot to enjoy a steaming cup of coffee while you take in the glorious views of the loch and surrounding mountains. There is also plenty of parking space. Anglers will enjoy the opportunities for trout fishing in the loch, and for those with canine companions, there are plenty of walks straight from the front door.
