Situated in a friendly Highlands village, this appropriately named cottage is perfect for guests following Scotland’s Malt Whisky Trail, with more than a dozen distilleries within easy reach. Providing cosy accommodation for up to four guests, the cottage is ideally located between the Cairngorms National Park and Moray Firth, providing some wonderful routes for eager walkers and cyclists. Ideal for couples or a family, this lovely property makes a wonderful holiday retreat in a stunning part of the Moray countryside.

On entering this cosy period cottage you will find the pretty lounge. Complete with TV, comfortable seating and a traditional wood burner, this is the ideal space to sit back and unwind in the evening after a fantastic day exploring this beautiful area. The ground floor also has a light, stylish and fully equipped kitchen perfect for cooking up a storm. You can share your favourite meals in the delightful dining room which features a warming wood burner and a charming dining table, perfect for a small family get-together or a romantic meal. Going upstairs, the first floor features a light and relaxing twin bedroom as well as a cosy double bedroom, both decorated in soothing tones and offering wonderful views across the Spey Valley. The property also has a colourful bathroom with a freestanding roll-top bath, separate shower and WC.

Stepping outside, you will find the pretty and enclosed small front garden as well as an enclosed back garden which has a lovely seating area. Here you can sit back with a wee dram from one of the many local distilleries, enjoy some al fresco dining or spend an evening chatting or stargazing. Private off-road parking is available for one car, and there’s also secure bike storage available.

Ideally situated for exploring the Speyside Way, this delightful cottage is perfect for guests discovering this lovely part of the Scottish Highlands. Aberlour has some charming places to eat and drink, and makes a great base for exploring the Malt Whisky Trail. Within just 10 miles you can visit numerous fabulous distilleries including Balvenie, Glenfarclas, Dufftown, Glenfiddich, Dalmunach, Aberlour, Cardhu, Dailuaine, Knockando, GlenAllachie, Glen Grant and MacAllan! The thriving little village of Dufftown (5.5 miles) is known as the malt whisky capital of the world, and is home to several major distilleries as well as the Whisky Museum. The town also hosts the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival twice a year. Other local landmarks and attractions include the ruins of Balvenie Castle (5 miles), Knockando Woolmill (9 miles) and the Linn Falls (1.5 miles). The River Spey is renowned for its salmon fishing, and there are plenty of opportunities for other outdoor pursuits including mountain biking, walking and falconry. Heading north, the river flows into the Moray Firth at Spey Bay (17.5 miles) which has a shingle beach and nature reserve. Also along the coast is the popular seaside town of Lossiemouth (21 miles). Travelling south you can head into the immense Cairngorms National Park (15 miles).

Lovely cosy property which felt like a home from home with our dog Tova. We were spoilt with the weather (sunshine and snow) great walks from the door step and easy access to the Cairngorms. Super friendly hosts and lovely extra touches for Christmas. Great correspondence from booking to during our stay. Thank you Alex and Annis

A great cottage, very comfortable, and a good quiet location. We particularly love the local forest walks, exploring the little fishing villages and birdwatching at Spey Bay.

Fantastic location with whiskey breweries, the Cairngorms, walks, beaches etc, all within easy reach of this really cute, cosy cottage. We took 2 small dogs with us. A very dog friendly cottage. A covered car port was really useful. Lovely garden.

Gorgeous peaceful cottage with a beautiful garden and lovely bench at the front to watch the sun go down. Very homely with an excellent selection of books available and well equipped. Good location with walks very nearby including to the local town of Aberlour. Would recommend and would like to return

Really impressed with this wonderfully located cottage. A quiet row of similar properties yet with easy access to the main A95 running through Speyside. The cottage was very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Excellent communications from the owners who gave us many suggestions regarding walks and whisky related matters. Very comfortable beds and Read morespotlessly clean bathroom. A lovely touch was the milk, fresh eggs, wine and shortbread which was provided on our arrival. Would certainly return! Hide
