Sleeping six in three bedrooms, gather all the family to this property nestled close to the shores of the splendid Loch Lubnaig. Surrounded by the magnificent and dramatic countryside of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park brimming with mountains, lochs and glens, there are walks to suit all energy levels right from your doorstep. Get your heart racing before retreating indoors, dropping wet gear in the hall to snuggle up on the sofa with a glass of wine or hot chocolate.

 

Minimalist and elegant, this stylish home makes the most of its incredible surroundings with large windows and patio doors allowing magnificent views from the sofa. Cream walls are punctuated with feature walls in muted greens and greys, while warm wooden touches complement colourful soft furnishings creating a contemporary yet cosy home from home.

 

Step inside to store your outdoor clothing in the hall and head through to the bright open-plan living space, the heart of this beautiful lodge and perfect for gathering together at the end of a busy day - kicking back on the comfortable sofas to enjoy a movie night. Prepare yourself a delicious meal and on warm days, dine with the French doors open to the elements letting the fresh country air flow in. There is a ground-floor, stylish king-size bedroom whilst upstairs, cream walls and skylights give the simple, eaved bedrooms a sense of space, perfect for a tranquil night’s sleep.

 

Outside, the fully enclosed garden has seating and a charcoal BBQ, perfect for al fresco dining. Start your day with a morning coffee admiring the fantastic loch and mountain views and end the day with some stargazing and a wee dram, marvelling at the dark skies in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There is a shed in the garden that can be padlocked and is perfect for storage.

The Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park is an area of sparkling lochs, rolling hills and sleepy forests and the perfect base for those looking to get lost in the great outdoors. The spectacular Loch Lubnaig is right on your doorstep and will delight water sport enthusiasts with fishing, canoeing and kayaking. Strathyre (7 miles) has a hotel, shop and post office, and being surrounded by majestic mountains with craggy outcrops, corries, screes and distinctive peaks, you can enjoy an array of scenic walks and cycle routes.

Mountaineers and hikers will love the challenge of bagging the nearby Ben Vorlich (14 miles), and at 985 metres, the views from the top are simply spectacular. Stuc a Chroin (15 miles) is a steep and rocky peak, and not for the faint-hearted. Discover tea shops and souvenir shops in the historic town of Callander (4.5 miles) and the city of Stirling (19 miles) has excellent shopping, leisure facilities, restaurants and the majestic Stirling Castle.

Loch Earn (14 miles) offers multiple water sports activities ranging from waterskiing and wakeboarding to kayaking and SUP hire. Play a round at Callander Golf Club (4.5 miles) or St Fillans Golf Club (19 miles) or tackle the treetops at Go Ape Aberfoyle (16 miles), and historians can visit the Balquhidder kirkyard (13 miles) to see the resting place of the world-famous outlaw Rob Roy. Or travel further afield and visit the wonderful cities of Perth (41 miles), Glasgow (45 miles) or Edinburgh (58 miles), all offering extensive shopping, historical landmarks and restaurants.

We loved this property. It was particularly well equipped, spotless and comfortable. It felt brand new. It was warm (November booking). It was exactly as you "see on the tin". The outlook is amazingly beautiful.

Very warm and comfortable cottage in a lovely location with stunning views . Such a joy to have share knives and all the utensils you could wish for on a self catering holiday! We enjoyed our short break and would love to visit again.

This is a lovely cottage - warm, comfortable and in a great location close to good walking. Kitchen is well equipped and beds were extremely comfortable- we also enjoyed the board games! We really enjoyed our week here and would happily revisit!

Had a wonderful restful week in this clean and practical lodge. The lodge was warm and cosy with easy hive heating controls for these cold winter evenings. There were ample supplies of basics such as washing up liquid, dishwasher and washing tabs as well as loo rolls and bin liners. A generous welcome pack was much appreciated as we arrived at nighRead moret in the dark. Google maps missed the enterance with postcode but found it with Runacraig. Local area so beautiful to explore. Recommended! Hide

The house is really well appointed and felt brand new, really well kitted out for family's with kids and the location was great. Accessible to get to lots of places and still felt calm and tranquil overlooking loch Lubnaig.

The cottage was of a high standard with a modern feel to it. A really well thought out renovation. It is in a good location for visiting the many local attraction and has a great outlook. There is a very busy road in front of the property and motorists tend to drive very fast by the property. If you need wifi for anything other than checking emailsRead more then be aware that it will only deliver 3MB download and often drops. There is also no mobile signal (Vodafone). Hide

Superb cottage in a beautiful location. Well equipped kitchen for all our cooking needs and for day to day cleaning. Immaculately clean. Lovely little touches with welcome treats, kids kitchenware and sensor nightlights. Stunning views from the windows. Excellent location for exploring the area!

This was a little gem of a cottage, with a stunning view, in an excellent position for exploring The Trossachs! The cottage itself was immaculately clean, incredibly well equipped, modern and extremely comfortable. Although walks from the cottage are not possible due to it being on a busy A84, literally 5 minutes down the road are picnic areas and Read morelocal places to explore. The A84 travelling north up to Killin covers some breathtaking scenery and The Falls of Dochart at Killin are a must! Hide
