It is situated in the quaint fishing village of Pittenweem close to the world-famous town of St Andrews in the beautiful East Neuk of Fife. The village boasts excellent eateries, quirky shops a friendly inn, beach and harbour. Explore the Fife Coastal Path, enjoy Elie water sports, or take a boat trip to the lovely Isle of May National Nature reserve. Visit Scottish Fisheries Museum, Kellie Castle, Kingsbarns Whisky Distillery, the WW2 Secret Bunker or the Scottish Deer Centre. You are within easy reach of St Andrews, the home of golf and further afield the cities of Edinburgh, Dundee and Perth.

Heading upstairs you will find the master double bedroom and a reading nook with bay window from where you can enjoy the same uninterrupted sea views - a great place to read, chat over a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine.  If you are lucky you might spot dolphins!  Finally completing the accommodation upstairs is the bright bathroom with shower over bath and WC.

Outside you have exclusive use of the spacious, enclosed garden on different levels.  There is a patio area with charcoal BBQ and seating, ideal for al fresco dining, relaxing with a coffee or chilled beer or perhaps a wee dram. There is free on-street parking available directly adjacent to the property

Pittenweem boasts excellent eateries, quirky shops,  a friendly inn and a harbour. The East Neuk of Fife is a region of picturesque fishing villages nestling amongst the natural harbours of the coastline. Crail (9 miles) has one of the prettiest harbours in the area and is well known for shellfish, whilst Anstruther and St Monans (both 1.5 miles)  have quaint alleyways and wynds with cobbled streets and crow-step gabled houses.

 

Explore the Fife Coastal Path, endowed with beaches and coves such as Elie/Earlsferry Beach (4 miles) and Shell Bay (6.5 miles). Visit the gardens and grounds at Kellie Castle (4.5 miles) and Shell Bay (6.5 miles).  Craigtoun Country Park (14 miles) has fun for kids with an an adventure playground and boating lake.  St Andrews (11 miles) the home of golf, has vast sandy beaches and an excellent range of boutique shops, quality eateries, friendly inns, art galleries and museums. Or visit Scotland's Secret WW2 Bunker (February to end October).

 

For city day trips, Edinburgh (47 miles), Perth (40 miles) and Dundee (24 miles) all offer extensive shopping, historical landmarks and restaurants. For woodland walks, head to Cambo Gardens (9.5 miles), or the house and grounds at Hill of Tarvit (14 miles). East Neuk (Cellardyke - 3 miles) offers kayaking, canoeing, archery, paddleboarding, bushcraft and fire making, whilst Blown Away at St Andrews also offer land-yachting, kayaking, paddle-boarding and surfing.

A lovely little fishing viallge - very quiet. The accomadation is great. it has everything you need plus brilliant voews over the harbour and the secure garden makes it perfect if you have a dog.

This cottage has terrific, unspoilt, views across the Firth. Parking was free with plenty of available spaces. The cleanliness and comfort of the cottage was great and we felt right at home. A beautiful back garden was a bonus. The communication from the owner was excellent.

This is a wonderful comfortable flat in a perfect peaceful position. It's not too close to the harbour but has lovely views of the fishing boats coming and going, especially from the gorgeous window seat upstairs. A gem of a cottage ! We had been fully informed of the essential works by the shoreline ! Lindsay need not have worried the view was still stunning and were not troubled by noise. Very comfortable accommodation, well equipped and furnished and the views are stunning. Overlooking the sea it was wonderful to watch the sunrise and sunset and the tides. Perfect central location for the East Neuk costal walks and the amazing tidal pools. A swimmers paradise all year round. Great communication with the owner.

We had such an amazing time in this flat. It may have been cold but it didnt distract from the stunning views we were greeted with every morning. Such a lovely location as well, with other beautiful places close by. We will hopefully be returning next year as we enjoyed it so much.

Wonderful property with stunning views and great location in small fishing village. The welcome basket was v thoughtful. Wonderful base for coffee in the morning watching the fishing boats before coastal walks to villages either side and beyond. Shore House is beautifully situated in an unspoilt village. The village has a vibrant fishing community and shops, with an attractive harbour. There is a fantastic beach overlooked by 17th century fishermans cottages which may only be reached on foot. The cottage is supremely comfortable light and characterful. Really comfortable flat with an amazing view of the sea and harbour - it was lovely to watch the fishing boats heading out to sea and coming back in the evening. This is an upper flat with views out across the sea just yards away. The house is warm and cosy and well equipped with everything we might have needed. Perfect spot in Pittenweem. Interesting to watch the fishing boat manoeuvres when coming home with their catch. Lovely comfortable and cosy flat and beautiful garden which is fully enclosed. Had lunch in The Clock Tower Caf a couple of times. Friendly place where our dog was welcomed with a biscuit each time. Visited the Bowhouse Market in St MonanRead mores where you can get local artisan food and a simple Japanese lunch from a vintage caravan. St Andrews beach is a must if you have a dog. Hide
