Located in a secluded position on the northern shore of the beautiful Moray Firth, this inviting lodge provides a great retreat for two guests discovering this spellbinding part of the Scottish Highlands. Forming part of a delightful group of relaxing cliff-top pods, this fabulous property features a soothing hot tub and has far-reaching sea views. Within easy reach of a number of picturesque towns and villages, this tranquil getaway makes a charming holiday home for couples exploring the countryside of Ross-shire and Sutherland.

This tastefully decorated cabin has been beautifully furnished to offer an idyllic bolthole, perfect for unwinding in at the end of a memorable day. The lodge has been stylishly arranged, with low curving walls, a welcoming wood burner and French doors opening out onto the decked area with a hot tub and spectacular sea views.

A few steps lead up onto the terrace and then through French doors and into the main accommodation. The light and enticing open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is a perfect space to unwind in. The central lounge area features the warming wood burner, along with cosy seating, a Smart TV and Bluetooth speaker, making this an ideal space to snuggle up with a movie at the end of a wonderful day. Binoculars are provided so you can sit back and enjoy the views out to sea. You can cook your favourite meals in the fully equipped kitchen which also has a handy breakfast bar. Exploring further, the tasteful bedroom has a king-size bed, with robes provided for guests. There’s also a stylish shower room with complimentary toiletries.

Outside, the French doors take you back onto the decked area where you will find the bubbling hot tub and outdoor furniture ideal for al fresco dining.

With easy access to the NC500 route, this lodge makes a wonderful base for discovering a remote coastal part of the Highlands. With its craggy coastline, stunning cliff-top walks, picturesque views and a wide array of wildlife, this breathtaking part of Ross-shire is an idyllic destination for walkers, cyclists, photographers, artists and nature lovers.

Nearby is the welcoming village of Nigg (2 miles) which is known for its historic church and its stunning views overlooking Cromarty Firth. The nearest town is Tain on the southern shore of Dornoch Firth (11.5 miles). Scotland’s oldest royal burgh, Tain, is a flourishing, friendly town with a variety of independent shops and places to eat and drink. The town is also home to historic buildings including the world-famous Glenmorangie Distillery, the Old Town Hall and the Tain Through Time Museum.

A wonderful location for taking in sunsets over the water, the lodge is perfect for discovering some of this beautiful area’s hidden gems. The glorious golden sands of Shandwick Bay (9 miles) are a little way to the north, or you can enjoy a round of golf at the popular Tain Golf Course (12 miles). A seasonal ferry trip will take you to the historic town of Cromarty, which makes a fantastic base for exploring the stunning landscapes of the Black Isle. Other attractions to uncover in this isolated region include the Mermaid of the North (9.5 miles), the Hilton of Cadbol Stone (10 miles) and Loch Eye (12.5 miles).

that cottage was the most wonderful place we could have imagined and it is not common to watch dolphins from your bed .... the view is just overwhelming . And the owners are very friendly and caring, so we would recommend this place any time.

Bed was comfortable, and was great that a travel cot was provided (with extra mattress) as saved so much space in car and having a highchair. An absolutely splendid 'cottage' and hot tub. Everything was as described or even better. The central heating was freely useable and changes to both temp and timings were easily made. The site was extremely quiet and one wouldn't guess we were on a working farm. There was ample parking, bed linen and deck furniture and if your are in the mood a smaRead morell fire pit/ BBQ. I cannot recommend this place enough. If you're looking for a relaxing time, with an outstanding view of the North Sea, then you can't go wrong here. Sitting in the hot tub in the evening, looking at the stars and unwinding. Close to Tain town to grab supplies and less than an hour away from Inverness if you need something a bit more lively.

We had a fantastic week for my husbands 50th birthday there is lots of places to visit or you can just relax and take in the beautiful scenery. Fabulous location, superb accommodation, excellent facilities and fantastic views. Plenty of local beaches and forest walks, with stunning lighthouses and nearby distilleries to visit. Castlecraig is such a special place to stay at, on the cliff edge, overlooking the firth with incredible views & amazing sunrises. The location is great with lots of amenities 20 mins away. Our cabin was not overlooked by anyone & the interior was really well done, with everything we needed, plus lots of lovely touches. This was a wonderful accommodation with outstanding views. The staff were great there in a moment if something was needed. Great location for our little minimoon with our little puppy. Only downside was we never saw any dolphins so will need to come back. 10 out of 10 recommend to a friend
