A spacious contemporary cottage set in a pretty hamlet with stunning views across the Cheviot Hills. A great location for history enthusiasts, golfers, fishing and walking.

Located in a peaceful setting overlooking the famous Rubers Law, outdoor enthusiasts on two and four legs can discover spectacular views and country trails along its gentle slopes. Perfect for families, couples, friends and two canine chums, this cottage sleeps six in three bedrooms. Return after a windswept day, washing pups and wellies in the warm outdoor shower, before relaxing into a cosy evening on the sofa, glass of wine in hand and toes warming in front of the roaring wood burner.

A real home from home, the traditional furniture and furnishings blend effortlessly with contemporary styling creating an elegant yet welcoming interior. Cream walls are dotted with colourful artwork while wooden floors add a touch of warmth, and large windows allow plenty of light to enhance the spacious and considered layout.

With plenty of space for extended family and friends, the large utility room is ideal for drying and storing outdoor gear, as well as housing a cosy dog bed or two, and your kids will love the secret, children’s cubby hole stocked with books for a quiet time. Step through the tri-fold patio doors and continue through the utility room to the large, open-plan kitchen. Prepare a delicious dinner and gather together around the dining table for sociable mealtimes, while the breakfast bar is ideal for grabbing a quick snack. In the evening, relax on the reclining sofa in the lounge for a movie night, or simply settle with a good book as the wood burner flickers, the kids playing a game and your pup sprawling in the warmth. Retire for a peaceful nights sleep amongst elegant decor and pretty, floral textiles in the three bedrooms, waking to extensive views across the surrounding landscape.

Outside, dine alfresco on the patio while the kids potter and play on the lawn to their heart’s content. Start the day with an early morning coffee listening to the birdsong and end it with a wee dram under the stars. For the canine guests, there is a welcome warm shower for washing off the result of long walks in the surrounding countryside. There is also private parking for three cars.

Plum Cottage is an extremely well-appointed spacious terraced house set in the very quiet hamlet of Bedrule. Ideal for those looking for a quiet retreat but not too distant either from the border towns of Hawick and Jedburgh, and a little further: Melrose, Galashiels and Kelso. The cottage is scrupulously clean and we had no inkling (other than theRead more provision of dog bowls etc. in the spacious boot room!) that the property allowed pets. Hide

Perfect cottage. Quirky layout with lots of space for the whole family. Kitchen very well equipped, definitely everything you need to cook proper meals. Warm and cosy, even if you don't use the wood burning stove. Our second stay at Plum Cottage, and we would definitely recommend.

Plum Cottage was a wonderful find and haven. I had a most enjoyable and very comfortable stay there with my dog Hector. This cottage was the best we have ever stayed in over the years. It was well equipped with good quality items, everything you could possibly need. The cottage itself was a great size, with comfortable furniture and really comfy beds. A brilliant welcone pack was waiting for us in the kitchen and some useful basics in the cupboards.

An excellent cottage, with everything thought of to make guests feel welcome. The garden was enjoyed immensely by the grandchildren and the books and games were made full use of in the evenings. All in all, the best cottage we have stayed in in many years of holidaying with our children, and now our grandchildren.

Lovely property in a lovely location with all the amenities/facilities I could hope for, for a long family holiday. When the iron tripped the circuit breakers, the owners came straight out with a new iron and were very friendly. Would definitely recommend.

A very comfortable cottage in a stunning location. It felt more like a home (only better) than a holiday let.
