This stunning family home is set on a 400-acre farm in rural Scotland. The area is teeming with walking routes, including the long-distance Fife Pilgrim Way (10 miles away). The wee fishing village of Anstruther is 2.5 miles away and the home of golf - St Andrews - is just 10.5 miles from the property. Sleeping ten guests and three canine chums, the farmhouse is ideal for large get-togethers. The games room provides hours of entertainment, and the luxurious hot tub is the perfect way to round off a busy day.

The luxurious farmhouse has a unique sense of style, with period features and elegant fabrics sitting alongside quirky artwork and contemporary furniture. Large rooms and high ceilings provide fabulous social spaces, and many of the windows frame picture-postcard rural views. The roaring wood burners create a lovely cosy atmosphere during the winter.

Before stepping into the beautiful building, take a moment to look around and absorb your spectacular surroundings. Once inside, discover a beautiful hallway, leading to the lounge. This stylish space has luxurious velvet sofas to recline on to watch the SkyTV, and quiet corners to curl up with a good book. From here, wander into the games room. This is the perfect place to spend quality time together, playing pool or enjoying a game of table tennis. There’s also another SkyTV, which is great if you can’t agree on what to watch. Rustle up delicious meals in the sleek kitchen, to enjoy at the magnificent dining table in the formal dining room. There’s also a pretty dining table next to the window in the kitchen, where you can sip a morning coffee or enjoy a light bite. A handy wet room completes the ground floor.

On the first floor, you’ll find the five gorgeous bedrooms. Each is a super-king-size, which can be made up as a twin on request, and all boast views across open countryside. One of the bedrooms is an en-suite, and there’s also a family bathroom with a luxurious roll-top bath.

Outside, a bonnie garden awaits. Laid to lawn, with a collection of mature trees and shrubs, it’s a great place for children and pups to play. The cobbled patio is a real sun trap, where you can unwind with a glass of wine, share al fresco meals, and soak in the private hot tub. There is ample off-road parking available at the property.

This peaceful, picturesque corner of Scotland is the ideal place to rest and reset. The region has an olde-worlde feel, with a plethora of unspoilt villages and historic sites, along with a rich heritage and endearing traditions.

Just 2.5 miles away is the charming fishing village of Anstruther. With fishing boats coming and going throughout the day, it’s a great place to pick up a fresh catch for your supper. There are also some fabulous fish and chip shops. From Anstruther you can take a boat trip to the Isle of May. This national nature reserve is a haven of peace and tranquillity and is also a great place for wildlife watching. During the spring you can spot seabirds nesting in the cliffs, including the colourful puffins.

Golf enthusiasts will be in their element in St Andrews (10.5 miles), the Scottish home of golf. There are ten unique courses to choose from, and you can also take a tour of the famous Old Course. However, it’s not all about golf in this historic town. Explore the medieval ruins of its grand cathedral, marvel at the sea life in the aquarium, and dine in one of the many independent eateries

The hot tub was a great success, as was the games room. Located near to many lovely places but quiet and peaceful. I would highly recommend!
