The spacious family home enjoys a peaceful location in the pretty village of Cupar Muir, surrounded by beautiful rural views. Sleeping 11 guests and three canine companions, the property is ideal for large family reunions and get-togethers with friends. The holiday home boasts an impressive, open-plan living area that’s perfect for entertaining, as well as a large garden where children and dogs can burn off steam. Enjoy day trips to St Andrews (11.5 miles) and the Isle of May (18 miles). There are also some fabulous walking routes in the area, including the Fife Coastal Path (11.5 miles).

The single-storey property is light and bright, with a vast open-plan living area. Cool tones and contemporary furniture create a comfortable and relaxed holiday home, with ample areas for socialising. French doors lead to the wrap-around garden, enabling indoor/outdoor living in summer months.

An elegant vestibule welcomes you into this impressive holiday home. From here, wander into the large lounge/kitchen/diner. This light-filled space has windows on all four walls, and a series of stylish light fittings to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. At one end you’ll find the bespoke kitchen, with its double and single electric ovens, and American-style fridge/freezer. It’s the perfect place to whip up a delicious meal for the group. There’s also a chic breakfast bar where you can sip a morning coffee and plan your day. In the centre of the room, you’ll find the large dining table, with seating for all 11 guests, where you can host dinner parties and family celebrations. After an evening of great food, retire to the cosy lounge area to chill out on the comfortable sofas and catch up on your favourite programmes on the Smart TV. On a hot day, throw open the French doors to let a gentle breeze flow through the house. Spend family time together in the large games room. Challenge each other to a game of table tennis, play board games, or entertain your fellow guests with a rendition on the piano! The property has five beautiful double bedrooms, one of which has an additional single bed and another with a double sofa bed. A contemporary family bathroom completes the accommodation.

A fully enclosed, mature garden wraps around the property. There’s a large expanse of lawn where children and dogs can play, as well as a summerhouse for relaxing in on a hot, summer’s afternoon. Dine alfresco on the patio, or at the picnic bench on the lawn, or simply sit back with a glass of wine and take in your peaceful surroundings. There is ample off-road parking available at the property.

The property enjoys a peaceful location, just 2 miles from the bustling town of Cupar. This picturesque medieval town is well worth exploring during your stay. As well as the many historic buildings dotted throughout the town, you’ll also find a great selection of independent shops, eateries, and pubs. It’s also a great place to pick up local produce for your supper.

St Andrews, the home of golf, is just 11.5 miles away. With ten unique golf courses, it’s a must for the agenda for any keen golfers. You can also take a tour of the world-renowned Old Course. Along with its golfing heritage, the town is also home to an excellent aquarium and a great range of restaurants and cafes. After a little wander around the town, head down to the 2-mile stretch of golden sand at West Sands to paddle in the water.

Head to the fishing village of Anstruther (18 miles) for pure Scottish charm. Dine in one of the seafood restaurants or pick up a fresh bag of fish and chips, before hopping on a boat to visit the Isle of May. This national nature reserve is a fantastic spot for wildlife watching, with rare seabirds – including puffins – nesting on the cliffs and seals often spotted basking off the shore.

Muirfield House was lovely. It was very well equipped so spacious and made for a great weekend away. We were away for a family break for a 60th birthday and couldn't have had a better time.

The perfect house! Everything about the house was great, from 3 to 97 years old it suited us all. There was games, jigsaws, books toys, an amazing TV. I can't praise it enough. The owner went out her way to get facilities to suit my 97 year old dad's disabilities. Amazing

A wonderful, spacious property for a three-generation holiday together. The young teens loved the table tennis and happily gave up their devices to take on the adults. Fantastic house for a family or friends get together. Has everything you need and lots of space. Table tennis was great fun. Lovely big dining table for meals, kitchen is great, comfy couches. No hot tub but might be added in the future. Would definitely book again.

Facilities in the property were excellent. The boot room is a great feature especially when the weather is wet. The kitchen was well stocked and there was ample space for the 10 of us around the dining table. The bedrooms were all comfortable and the stand alone bathroom was very spacious. We were very happy with our holiday in Muirfield House. The house was exactly as it looks on line. It was very comfortable, well equipped and clean with plenty of room for our extended party of 11 plus two dogs. The large garden was sunny and secure which was reassuring for us allowing our Grandchildren and the dogs plenty of freedom to enjoy the gRead morearden safely. Muirfield was spacious, comfortable and very clean! The kitchen was very well stocked with children thoughtfully catered for; the appliances were excellent. So much to keep children entertained in the Games Room..and fun for adults too!

Lovely, spacious well equipped home from home in a peaceful setting. Large enclosed garden with outdoor furniture to enjoy summer sunshine. Our party of 7 adults and 2 children aged 2yrs and 10months had a wonderful time celebrating a wedding and 90th birthday with other family in local area.

We absolutely loved our stay at Muirfield House. Our family went for my mums 80th birthday and we had such an amazing time. Everything and everyone was fully catered for including our dog. What a fabulous house! It was incredibly spacious and was equipped with everything that we needed and more, even down to providing dog bowls! We would definitely recommend for any large family group. The spacious games room is an added bonus. Clean, modern large bungalow where we had a fabulous week.

10 of us plus baby and dog thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Muirfield House. The layout of the house was great with the main living area open plan. All of us enjoyed the games room. We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed trips to Elie and St. Andrews (both of which are short drives away).

Fab house. Loads of space and everything you need. Bedrooms are separated form living safe by corridor which means you can get kids to sleep then not worry about noise. Everything you could need for children. Lots to do in the local area

3 generations of the family stayed to celebrate an 80th bday. We loved every minute of it. The house is exceptionally clean and has every piece of equipment/utility you could imagine. The house was very clean and very well equipped. There was ample room for our family to be together. Being a bungalow, we didn't have to worry about stairs for our young grandchildren. Also the enclosed garden was safe for them to play in. Lots of child friendly venues in the surrounding area, to visit.

Great space for a group meet up. The house was spotlessly clean and the kitchen had everything you could need. Quiet surrounding but close enough to Cupar to pop out to supermarket or order Takeaway. We would definitely recommend a stay here and will definitely be back
