Offering superb views over the still waters of Loch Inchard, this tranquil cottage makes a wonderful holiday getaway for up to two guests. Providing welcoming accommodation couples or friends, this idyllic croft makes a relaxing retreat for eager walkers, climbers, bikers and nature lovers discovering a spellbinding part of the Scottish Highlands.

This delightful croft features high ceilings providing a feeling of spaciousness, with skylights and large windows allowing plenty of light to stream in.  The wood burner is perfect to snuggle in front of at the end of a lovely day, while the picturesque garden offers stunning views across the loch.

Entering this bright and cheerful property, the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner provides a spacious, welcoming living area. With a cosy wood burner, the lounge is an ideal space to cuddle up and watch a film on the Smart TV in the evening, while the stylishly designed kitchen has plenty of equipment so you can rustle up all your favourite dishes. You can sit together to enjoy a meal around the dining table while admiring the views across the loch. Stairs lead from the lounge and up to the bedroom, a cosy en-suite double room with skylights set in the low ceilings.

Outside, the pretty garden features magical views across Loch Inchard. The garden is enclosed and has a seating area perfect for enjoying a spot of al fresco dining at the end of a memorable day.

Set on a working croft on the secluded Rhu Peninsula, the cottage is close to the thriving fishing village of Kinlochbervie (2.5 miles) where you will find a bustling harbour and a choice of friendly shops.

The area offers miles of rugged coastline and sandy beaches for you to explore, including the beautiful Oldshoremore Beach (4.5 miles) and the magnificent Sandwood Bay (10 miles) which opens directly onto the Atlantic Ocean. Surrounded by towering cliffs, the bay has more than a mile of golden sands and is crowned by the Am Buachaille sea stack.

Heading north, the cheerful village of Durness (16.5 miles) lies just beyond Loch Croispol and Loch Caladail, and is home to Smoo Cave, Sango Bay, a beautiful golf course and Europe’s most northerly zip line. To the south is the quaint crafting village of Scourie (13.5 miles) which has a shop and pub, and is home to the most northerly palm trees in the world.

Birdwatchers and nature lovers can take the ferry across to Handa Island (15 miles) where you can see a variety of birdlife including puffins, guillemots and razorbills. You can also take boat trips to explore Cape Wrath, or head to the popular Ridgway Adventure (5.5 miles) for a range of sea or loch-based water sports.

We stayed at Anam Cara Croft for 7 nights in September 2024. The location of the cottage on the edge of the loch was unbelievable - mesmerising. We spent hours just admiring the view, it really was fantastic and we highly recommend. The cottage has everything & more you could need. The weather was sunny on 5 from 7 days - very lucky, we know! Nothing everything was brilliant, Matt could not have done anymore , we new he was there if we needed help , and the holiday was just what we needed , would luv to visit again , lovely walks and the wild life great to see , I have never felt so relaxed and more at home excellent

Perfect holiday home, everything you needed. Great location, you can visit all the beeches or travel to others. The dogs absolutely loved it . Scenery was stunning and the weather was kind to us. Highly recommended.

Stayed at this fantastic Croft which is really dog friendly in May 24. Ideal location for rest and relaxation or ideally suited for the more active, Durness and Smoo cave are within 30mins drive, as is the zip line for the more adventurous

This is a very well equipped cottage with a beautiful wiew. This is a very roomy house with a log burner which we only used once because we were very Lucky to have a really nice week.

Superb accommodation, lots of adventuring to do in the area but if the weather gets a bit too Scottish there would be few better places to be sat than in front of one of the large windows looking out to the loch and hills with the fire roaring away.

Spectacular views over the loch, really felt immersed in the stunning landscape. The cottage is so much larger than we anticipated, perfect for a family or group of friends, is comfortable, warm and has everything you could possibly need. An exceptional cottage, very clean, excellently equipped and very comfortable, especially the mattress! The cottage is surrounded by the majestic and beautiful scenery of the North West coast and has stunning views with beautiful sunrises to watch. Cosy, well equipped and great views from the house and garden. We didnt venture far and found plenty to do and explore within short drive. A beautiful area, with spectacular scenery.
