This delightful Swiss-style lodge on the banks of Loch Ness offers friends and families a unique place to stay in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. Occupying an elevated position on the east side of Loch Ness, you are surrounded by the breathtaking natural beauty of the area, making it the ideal spot to switch off and relax. This is a paradise for walkers who will be spoilt for choice as the area is packed with a range of walking routes, including the Great Glen Way. At the end of an action-packed day, head home for an al fresco meal on the terrace or a soak under the stars in your hot tub.

The warm tones of its wooden construction permeate throughout this property, creating a sense of warmth and comfort, whilst echoing the beauty of the surrounding scenery.

Stepping inside, you’ll find yourself in the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with its vaulted ceiling adding to the sense of space, and the numerous windows flooding the space with light. This is the ideal spot to sit and enjoy the view with a cup of hot chocolate, whilst someone whips up a meal to be enjoyed around the dining table. Also on this floor, you’ll find two of the bedrooms (a king-size and a twin), one of which has an en-suite WC, and a shower room.

Heading up to the mezzanine level, there’s another lounge with a sofa bed for additional guests. The final king-size bedroom is also on this floor with an en-suite bathroom, complete with a bath and separate shower.

French doors from the ground floor lead out onto the decking where there’s dining furniture and a hot tub – a wonderful place to appreciate your surroundings. Upstairs, French doors lead onto a smaller balcony.

  • 3 bedrooms – 2 king-size and 1 twin
  •  2 bathrooms - 1 bathroom with bath, separate shower, and WC; 1 shower room with WC; and 1 en-suite WC

  • Smart TV in the lounge
  • Garden with seating area on the decking
  • Private parking for 2 cars
  • Private hot tub
  • Shop, pub, and restaurant within 2 miles
  • Sleeps 6 + 2 additional guests on the sofa bed in the lounge
  • Short Term Let license number: HI-50454-F
  • EPC Rating: D
  • Arrival: 16:00 onwards
  • Departure: before 10:00, unless otherwise stated in your arrival details
  • 2 dogs allowed. Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week
  • There is an Accidental Damage Deposit of £250 when booking at this property, however this may be waived for £30. We’ll provide more details about this when booking your holiday.

This property is the perfect location for outdoor enthusiasts with hills, rivers, lochs and forests to explore either on foot or by bike – just remember to keep an eye out for that elusive Loch Ness Monster!

Venturing further afield, you can also explore Fort Augustus which lies 13.5 miles to the south. This historic settlement on the Caledonian Canal is a great starting point for many walks and affords stunning views of Loch Ness. It’s also home to the Caledonian Canal Heritage Centre.

Even further away, you can head to the lively city of Inverness (19 miles), popular for its cathedral, castle, market, shops and eateries within its compact city centre. Although a stark contrast to the natural beauty of the Highlands, Inverness is a more laid-back city than its counterparts.

National Trust attraction Culloden (23.5 miles) is also worth a visit, which explains the history of the Battle of Culloden. If you’re prepared to drive, the Cairngorms National Park is about 44 miles away, where you’ll find yet more breathtaking scenery.

This holiday home I would highly recommend to anyone. The location so breath taking and so peaceful with plenty things to do all year round. The lodge is lovely and in a beautiful setting but it is tired and not clean. The bed sheets were clean and the bathrooms generally but toilet were not. The kitchen was not at all clean especially the oven and hob. The dishwasher was not working properly as it needed, salt and rinse aid. As a result the dishes and pots in cupboard had a residue. ThRead moree sofas had crumbs and nail clippings under cushions. We were told the rubbish from previous week would be collected but it was left all week. Hide

Lovely lodge with amazing views, super hot tub. We did thoroughly enjoy our peaceful vacation. BUT the cleaners really let the place down. Dust, cobwebs. Couldn't use freezer as don't believe it's ever been thawed out, full of hard ice. BBQ had fag stump and mould in it. Outdoor table and chairs were filthy and need a repaint.Dishtowel stained.
