Located in an elevated position with stunning sea views and wrap around gardens, this spacious property is in easy reach of great amenities and splendid sandy beaches.

The holiday home is located in the historic hamlet of Lamberton and looks out across Northumberland’s Heritage Coast. Sleeping six guests, the property is ideal for large families and groups of friends, with a choice of social spaces, including a games room and a vast garden to enjoy. Plan day trips to Berwick-upon-Tweed (4 miles) and explore the rugged beauty of the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (10 miles).

The single-storey property is decorated in a contemporary style and boasts beautiful coastal views from many of its windows. The holiday home has lovely rooms, multiple social spaces, and ample room for everyone to spread out and relax during the holiday.

Enter through the hallway and into the bright lounge, which has French doors leading to the garden. Unwind on the comfortable seating to watch the TV/DVD and, on chilly nights, warm your toes in front of the wood burner-effect electric fire. The gorgeous sunroom also has direct access to the garden and is a lovely spot to relax with a good book. The spacious kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook for the group while the elegant dining room has seating for everyone, and is perfect for hosting dinner parties and family celebrations. There is a handy utility room with a sink, washing machine, and access to the rear patio. Heading back through the hallway, you’ll find the first of the bedrooms: a king-size with a TV and sea views. The next bedroom is a zip-and-link super-king-size (which can be made up as a twin on request) and, again, has a TV and sea views. The final bedroom is a double. Completing the accommodation is a family bathroom and shower room.

Next to the cottage is a games room with a pool table, table football, dartboard, and array of games – the perfect place to unwind and enjoy each other’s company.

Outside, a vast garden envelops the property. There is a lawn where children can play and a patio area for evenings of al fresco dining under the stars. Ample private parking is available in front of the cottage.

The medieval town of Berwick-upon-Tweed is 4 miles from the property. The town is steeped in history, and you can soak up the atmosphere with a wander along its cobbled streets and town walls. Learn about the town’s colourful past with a trip to the museum or Berwick Barracks and The Main Guard. You can also take boat trips along the River Tweed and dine in one of the many seafood restaurants.

A short drive along the coast will bring you to Bamburgh (24 miles). This picturesque town has a plethora of cute cafes and tearooms, as well as a 1,400-year-old castle perched high on the cliffs. Enjoy a picnic in the castle grounds, followed by a stroll along the pristine, white sand of the beach below.

Get away from it all with a visit to the remote Holy Island of Lindisfarne (17.5 miles). The mysterious tidal island is home to an evocative 12th-century priory and has been a site of pilgrimage for centuries. In fact, it is the end point to the long-distance St Cuthbert’s Way walking trail. Due to its unique habitat, the island is also a great place for wildlife watching.

A beautiful, comfortable property, spotlessly clean, home from home feel, had everything we needed. Beds were very comfy too. Fantastic base, easy/close access to Berwick and the A1, but far enough for it to be quiet. Surrounded by lovely views of farming land with sheep right up to the back fence at the back and sea views at the front.
