Take in superb views towards St Andrews and the Eden Valley, explore the Fife coast and spend quality time with loved ones in this beautiful rural location.

Light and airy with a modern Scandinavian feel, this wonderful take on a traditional wood cabin is built with the environment in mind. Energy is supplied by sustainable sources, and a living sedum roof helps keep heat inside. Wood-clad with instant curb appeal, this is a fantastic low-carbon stay that doesn't mean compromising on luxury.

With accommodation laid out all on one floor, enter into the handy utility room and through to the bright and breezy open-plan living space. Huge floor-to-ceiling windows fill the room with light creating a lovely space to spend time with loved ones. Grab a bite on the go at the breakfast bar, cook a delicious meal in the contemporary kitchen, and plan the day's activity around the spacious dining table. After dinner, sit back on the plush sofa seating while taking in the far-reaching rural views. For tired legs, a relaxing soak in the family bathroom is a must, followed by a good night’s sleep in one of three attractive bedrooms.

Outside, take a walk up to the farm's Willies Wood and enjoy a picnic surrounded by beautiful nature or spend an afternoon on the enclosed decking and take in the incredible views while the children entertain themselves at the on-site play area. Cook up a tasty sausage or two using the gas BBQ beside the lawn to the rear of the lodge, then dine alfresco on the decking, followed by an evening of stargazing.

Indulge in some traditional Seaside fun at St Andrews' long sandy beach (9 miles) or visit the dramatic ruins of St Andrew's castle sitting on a nearby headland. Alternatively, climb to the top of the tower at the town’s striking medieval cathedral or delve deep underground into a secret nuclear bunker.

Walkers will love the Fife Coastal Path, which stretches over 117 miles of rugged cliffs and award-winning beaches. Head inland to the Lomond Hills Regional Park (14.5 miles), a nature reserve with dramatic scenery, cascading waterfalls and rolling hills crisscrossed by hiking and biking trails.

The buzzing coastal city of Dundee is less than 10 miles away, where you will find a fantastic range of restaurants, cafes, independent shops and high-street favourites. The city is a UNESCO-designated City of Design and home to a V&A Museum that should not be missed.

I really dont want to give this the true review it deserves as it is SUCH a gem I wouldnt want everyone else to book it. The lodge is well appointed with everything you will need for your stay. Stephen the owner is friendly, approachable and available should you need him. What truly sets this lodge apart is the iconic views out over Fife towards StRead more Andrews and the Eden river. They are absolutely stunning. Everyday provide a new vista. Everyday makes you smile!! Hide
