Nestled at the end of a long gravel track on the slopes of Fourman Hill overlooking the broad Deveron Valley, this four-bedroom farmhouse has been recently refurbished to provide a cosy and welcoming home from home in the 'castle country' of Aberdeenshire. It’s the perfect base for families and large groups to soak up some of the magnificent surrounding Scottish heritage whilst trying out the fantastic fishing spots, hikes and mountain bike trails that Scotland is famous for.

A quaint and charming country cottage feel is achieved throughout the farmhouse, accentuated by the gorgeous original features such as characterful sloping ceilings, cornice moulding and pretty fireplaces combined with handpicked rustic furniture and décor that transports you to days gone by. Time has not stood completely still in this farmhouse; a contemporary bathroom and Smart TV add an extra-special touch of glamour.

Enter this stone-built farmhouse to be welcomed with a handy porchway to drop off your coat and hiking boots before heading into the sensitively renovated kitchen, retaining its farmhouse style and charm emphasised by the wonderful AGA range and hues of natural pine. You can enjoy hearty Scottish scran in the kitchen on the small wooden dining set and or serve a larger crowd in the formal dining room across the hall which features a grand ebony dining table and chairs with a backdrop of the stunning surrounding countryside through the large window. A soft palette of blues and greens, a wood burner housed inside an original fireplace and a Smart TV make the spacious living room irresistibly cosy for easy relaxation. The contemporary family bathroom is light, bright and bang on-trend.

The soft, elegant character of the downstairs is carried through upstairs across the four bedrooms that feature charming sloping ceilings with large windows positioned to best enjoy the surrounding unspoilt countryside views. Traditional and rustic patterned soft furnishings used across the bedrooms add a unique nostalgic touch. A second shower room completes this comfortable farmhouse.

Outside, you’ll find a generous lawn, enclosed by a natural border of well-maintained mature hedges, where children can play safely and four-legged friends can roam freely. In the summer months, enjoy dining alfresco on the trendy rattan garden furniture to soak up the splendid countryside scenery and, as day turns to night, stargaze long into the evening.

A beautiful, traditional cottage, in a very rural location. Perfect for an "away from it all" holiday. The addition of a microwave in the kitchen would be beneficial. Beautiful comfy beds and bedding, and huge fluffy towels.

Large comfortable house in a fantastic out of the way location. Our young kids loved the space to run around in and our dog loved the aga on a night! Access is by track so leave the sports car at home. Loved it!
