After a day out exploring, relax and watch a film on the Smart TV, play music on the sound system, and set the mood by adjusting the lighting with the assist voice control. There’s also a flame-effect fireplace to keep things toasty on chillier nights. The neat kitchen features all the modern appliances you’ll need to whip up a meal and then serve it at the small breakfast bar. In the sleeping area, you’ll find a king-size bed. Corriegills is a quiet area, surrounded by natural beauty, making it perfect for hiking and walking. Pick up the Arran Coastal Way route from Brodick (1.5 miles away) and enjoy stunning ocean views and plenty of wildlife. Keen hikers can circumnavigate the whole island, but for a more leisurely walk take the 6-mile route to Corrie. In Corrie, those with a head for heights can climb Arran’s highest peak, Goat Fell. Although it’s a steep climb, it’s worth the effort – from the top you’ll be rewarded with magnificent views of Holy Isle.

Back in Brodick, history lovers can spend time exploring historic sites including the Victorian estate, Brodick Castle. The castle is packed with treasures including period furniture, silverware, and sporting trophies. The garden is also a pretty place to stroll, with its woodland trails, wildlife ponds, and waterfalls. But if you’d rather spend the day practising your swing, there’s an 18-hole golf course nearby.

For a day at the beach, head 3.5 miles to Lamlash Beach. Located in a sheltered bay, on the island’s east coast, it’s a good place for a swim in the calm water. Alternatively, simply sit and watch the otters playing in the surf.
