This delightful bungalow provides a warm, welcoming home from home. It’s in a peaceful setting surrounded by fields and just 2 miles from the popular market town of Blairgowrie where there are shops, pubs, and restaurants. It’s an ideal spot for exploring the area. It sleeps six in two king-size bedrooms and a twin, and has a large, enclosed garden – perfect for a group of friends or family.

The cottage is all on one level and has been tastefully decorated throughout with bold, modern interiors that create a calm space to relax in after a fun day out exploring. It has cosy furnishings and plenty of space for six, as well as a big garden.

Head inside to the hall, where you can leave your outdoor gear, and go through to the beautiful, bright lounge with a cosy wood burner and a Smart TV, the perfect combination for a relaxing evening in. The kitchen/diner has everything for cooking up a storm, then sit and enjoy it together at the dining table. The three attractive bedrooms are off the hall, two king-size and twin, with colourful designs. One of the king-size bedrooms also has lots of clothes storage for your holiday outfits. Completing the bungalow is a spacious family bathroom with a bath for long soaks and a separate shower.

The house is on a large plot with a spacious, enclosed garden, mainly laid to lawn. There’s also a seating area and a charcoal BBQ for dining alfresco on warm evenings.

The peaceful rural location is wonderful for exploring this beautiful part of Perthshire. Keen walkers will enjoy the nearby Cateran Trail (2 miles away), named after the fearsome cattle thieves who raided the area hundreds of years ago. There are lots of cycle routes too which take in local sights, including towns, rivers, and lochs with stunning scenery along the way. Golfers will find plenty of places to play a round in the area, including the championship course in Blairgowrie, as well as Alyth and Strathmore (within 4 miles). The River Ericht, which runs nearby, is a good spot for fishing.

Perth (20 miles away) is a vibrant city with great shopping and a range of interesting and exciting museums, theatres, art galleries, and heritage sites to explore. The ski centre at Glenshee is within easy reach 17.5 miles from the bungalow where you can ski and snowboard on the slopes or book some lessons at the ski school if your skills are a little rusty.

Thrill seekers can also get their kicks indoor go karting at ScotKart Dundee 16 miles away or next door at Laser Combat where you and the kids can try your luck at indoor laser tag. More sedate but no less fun, why not have a go at woodland craft, wood carving and bushcraft 4.5 miles away at the Scottish Woodland Skills Centre.

We had a great stay at South Cottage. A very comfortable, spacious and well equipped accommodation. Bob was very hospitable and made sure we had everything we needed. Hoping to return at some point.

very well equipped cottage, warm welcome with nice presents waiting for us, lots of space, good contact in case we had questions. All went well, at a reasonable price - thank you very much! We hope to be back one day. Note: you need a car since the cottage is quite a bit outside of town!

The cottage was in a lovely peaceful location with plenty of walks and places to explore. Looks just like the pictures and was perfect for our family break. We loved walking to see the horses in the fields and spotting deers running through the fields. One of the nicest places to stay. The owners have gone to great lengths to make sure that everything a family could want was available. Then gone that little bit further with the extra touches Very spacious and Very clean . Well presented. Fabulous. Cant wait to go back again.

A lovely comfortable cottage, very recently renovated and freshly decorated with great care and taste. Bed was very comfortable. Kitchen had everything you could possibly need. I was really impressed with the beautiful bespoke roman blinds and curtains. Completely enclosed garden for the dog, though we spent most of our time sitting outside at the Read moreback, enjoying fantastic weather! A cottage for most people but for people with disabilities very good nice and friendly with low walk in shower which has fabulous shower nice powerful in general good location quiet and open fields has everything you need for a good break

A very well equipped new holiday cottage which we found to be warm, comfortable and peaceful. Lovely towels and bedding. Plenty of crockery, saucepans and tins etc. , there were even some cookery books and a coffee machine. There's a cycle path/footpath just a field away so we were able to use that along with the setaside and farm tracks to make a Read morecircular dog walk. We throughly enjoyed our New Year stay at the cottage, it was fresh and recently modernised yet retained its country cottage feel! It was very well equipped with everything we needed. Furnishings and beds were very comfortable. There were some lovely personal touches on our arrival by the owner. Bob was friendly and available for any questions we hRead moread. The cottage is in a lovely remote spot with walks on the doorstep. Blairgowrie is a few minutes drive away for shopping supplies. We will be back! Hide
