Set in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, this spacious detached home in Glenshee is both stylish and elegant, creating an idyllic backdrop for any special occasion. Up to 12 guests and even three canine friends are welcome to stay at this truly remarkable home to take advantage of the surrounding ski resort, mountain biking trails and many magnificent walking routes. After a fun and active day, come home to cosy home furnishings, many mod cons and a garden fire pit for toasting marshmallows.

Enter inside this property, where you will be wowed by dazzling colours, characterful rooms and contemporary features. Make your way into the stylish and spacious kitchen, where cooks will delight in the generously equipped space, including an American-style fridge/freezer and two electric ovens for those big banquets fit for royalty. Sit down for a bite to eat around the dining table and celebrate your gathering with delicious food.

When there's a chill in the air, light up the wood burner, channel flick through the Smart TV and snuggle on the pillowy sofa. Find yourself stealing a private moment with a few pages of the latest novel on the comfy mezzanine, where we're sure kids will enjoy reading, too.

Find one of the five bedrooms on the ground floor, with inviting plush bedding and decor that will soothe you to sleep. Upstairs, a variety of sleeping arrangements await the perfect night's rest, including two rooms with en-suite showers.

In the morning, take your cup of tea out to the beautiful views of the Cairngorm Mountains, where only yourself and nature can be seen and heard. Make the most of balmy evenings out here by striking up the fire pit and toasting marshmallows with the group's youngsters. Thanks to the laid lawn and plenty of space to run off that extra energy, children will love the outdoors as much as the indoors.

When you are ready to adventure out, grab warm and dry coats, boots and hats from the utility room and admire the vistas as you go. Parking is available for up to four cars.

For those who love the great outdoors, there is an endless list of activities for you to enjoy or even try for the first time! Known as the 'fairy glen', Glenshee is a magical location from which to enjoy mountain climbing, walking, angling, golfing and photography. Its Ski Centre (12 miles) is one of the most popular in the UK, with no less than 38 amazing skiing and snowboarding runs across three glorious valleys. If you're keen to observe Scottish wildlife, this is one of the places to do it! Herds of roe deer can be seen foraging for food, red squirrels bounce across the landscape, and there is the potential to spot a golden eagle!

During the balmier months, take on the accessible hike of Spittal of Glenshee, beginning at Dalmunzie Castle Hotel (1.5 miles) and finishing 3 miles later at Gulabin Lodge. This route takes you through breathtaking mountain ranges, glens and little rivers and is fabulous for all fitness levels. Enjoy the area's natural beauty from the Dalmunzie Golf Course, one of the highest 9-hole courses in Britain. Even if you have a shoddy round, you'll still adore the views!

For those in the group that love shopping, one of the largest towns in Perthshire, Blairgowrie (19.5 miles), is worth a trip. It's filled with independent shops, boutiques, a museum and plenty of eateries to choose from.
