This stylish cottage is excellent for families of four looking to explore the Scottish coast, take part in exciting forest walks, and relax in tranquil surroundings. Enter this spacious home and step into the fully equipped kitchen/diner, where you'll find everything you need to prepare delicious dishes of haggis, neeps and tatties. This sought-after home is located in the south-west of the Isle of Arran which is broken down into three main parts: Kilmory, Torrylinn and Lagg. Find a friendly pub, the Torrylin Creamery for Arran Dunlop cheese tasting and Torrylin Cairn (0.5 miles), a Neolithic cairn that has been used as a place of ritual and burial for more than 1,000 years. Kilmory is also home to Cleat's Shore (0.5 miles), a white sandy beach known for being the most westerly official naturist beach.

Jump in the car to visit the Machrie Stone Circles (12 miles). Here, you will discover its rich archaeological landscape from 3,500 BC and wonderful views over the splendid moorland. Alternatively, soak up the unique architecture and heritage of Brodick Castle (18 miles) and have a wander around the thick woodland, glistening waterfalls, gardens filled with vibrant rhododendrons and the opportunity to see red squirrels.

For the energetic adventurers of the group, explore the island on foot or by bike, taking in the unrivalled views as you go. Join the Arran Coastal Way at Lagg (0.5 miles) and follow the route 10 miles along the coast to Whiting Bay, where you can round off the day with locally sourced fish suppers and one of Arran's homemade ice cream cones.
