Set within a 1500-acre estate in Perthshire, this charming rural cottage is perfect for families or groups of friends seeking a peaceful base from which to explore the Perth and Kinross countryside. Enjoy the natural woodlands and wildlife of the estate before coming home to a crackling fire, cosy furnishings and ample room to socialise with your nearest and dearest.

This charming home boasts calming, neutral colours throughout, with wooden detailing and works of art that give a proud nod to the home's Scottish heritage. These themes flow throughout the property, offering guests a truly tranquil ambience during their stay.

Step inside, and you'll find that all the rooms are laid out on one level for a comfortable and convenient space with easy accessibility. Enter into the porch and store your coats and boots before finding yourselves unwinding in front of the fire with a glass of bubbles in your hand.

Prepare a delicious dinner in the well-equipped kitchen, where guests will also find ample space for family and friends to share a meal around the table, opening up the back doors on balmy evenings to let the fresh air in. On chillier nights, hunker down with a film in the living room before retiring to one of three super-king-size zip-and-link beds, which can be made into twins on request. Every detail has been thought of to ensure a pleasant and comfortable stay for the group.

This wonderful holiday home sits within a 1500-acre estate right on the edge of the Cairngorms. Because of this, visitors can enjoy the countryside right from the front door with the chance to explore the estate and take in the remarkable scenery that surrounds them.

Beyond the estate, the Cairngorms National Park is a must-see with a long list of exhilarating activities from hiking, climbing, fishing and skiing. For the hikers of the group, the woodland trail of Drimmie Wood (7 miles) takes you on a 4-mile circular trek through ash and oak trees with views toward the Angus hills to the north and the Sidlaws to the southeast. This particular route has gentle gradients, so it is suitable for walkers and cyclists alike.

If this sounds too much like hard work, there's plenty to enjoy in Blairgowrie (9 miles) town centre. Once famous for its flax growing and spinning mills, this charming town now has many shops to peruse, restaurants to dine in and views to take snaps of. While you're in the area, spend a great day out at Perthshire's fruit-picking farm, Mill of Montague Farm (23.5 miles) or try out the nine-hole golf course of Dalmunzie (12.5 miles), which promises an incredible backdrop of mountain scenery whilst you drive it across the green.
